Fourth floor common room, Sunday morning

Dean was in the kitchen making breakfast for whoever happened by as he occasionally was wont to do. Hunter was with him, stalking across the back of the sofa and sniffing curiously inbetween the cushions. The tv, thankfully had been dispossessed of whatever weirdness that had had it playing pirate porn the night before and Dean had it tuned to nothing more provocative than some music videos.

All in all it was a fairly cheerful morning.

"What've we got today?" Setsuna asked, moving closer to inspect.

"Bacon, eggs, toast, the usual," Dean said, letting her see what he was cooking.

"Oh, don't mind if I do, then," Setsuna said, grabbing a plate and helping herself to some bacon and slathering some jam on some toast, but definately skipping the eggs. "Thank you."

"Any time," Dean replied. "So how's the new term going for you?"

"Quite well, thank you," Setsuna nodded. "My new roommate is turning out to be someone I can handle living with, although my Little Brother still appears to be missing in action. I may have to execute a search for him. I'm very excited about my classes; I'm taking your father's hunting class, actually, which should prove..." She paused to take in a breath at the whole EMF fiasco, "interesting."

She also hoped she was right in thinking that Professor Winchester was Dean's father. She was pretty sure, but there were some people she didn't know very well around this school beyond what she gleaned from other people and from radio. Dean was definately one of those people.

Dean smiled. "Yeah, Dad's really good at teaching how to hunt," he enthused. "He taught Sammy and me all we know."

"I'm very excited for it, and have been ever since I found out that the class wasn't, y'know, hunting woodland animals." She blushed a bit. "I've been paying better attention to the course descriptions now."

Dean grinned. "From what I've heard, you're not the only one to make that mistake when they first read about the course. Guess Dad should've added in a demon or ghost or something to the class title."

"I think it might have altered the turn out a bit, yes," Setsuna said with a grin. "I'm very excited to learn from him; I hope it will prove very helpful."

"As demon hunters go, Dad's the best," Dean said with pride.

Dean saying such things made a little spark of challenge well up inside of her, but, she'll save her judgements until she'd experienced a little more of his style. She thought back to the first class, how he didn't seem to respond in any particular way to her, or even the EMF going off. But there was a lot to pay attention to during a first class. She still wondered if Professor Winchester could tell. How good of a demon hunter could he be if he couldn't sense it?

"I'm very lucky to have him as a teacher, then," she decided to say, congenially, with a nod.

"If you ever need any help with the class, let me know," Dean offered. "Like I said, I've been learnig this stuff most of my life."

Setsuna grinned at him a little. "Well, so have I."

"I certainly hope so," she nodded. It would be embarrassing if a hunter failed hunting, after all.
