Fourth floor common room, Sunday morning

Dean was in the kitchen making breakfast for whoever happened by as he occasionally was wont to do. Hunter was with him, stalking across the back of the sofa and sniffing curiously inbetween the cushions. The tv, thankfully had been dispossessed of whatever weirdness that had had it playing pirate porn the night before and Dean had it tuned to nothing more provocative than some music videos.

All in all it was a fairly cheerful morning.

Lana smiled and waved at her. "Hey, Isabel."

Isabel yawned. "Morning Lana. Enjoying the weekend?"

Lana grinned. "Oooh, yes. Yes, I did. How about you?"

"Friday night was a little crazy, but it's been pretty quiet since," she said. "I've been reading mostly, trying to get a head start on my Villians class."

Lana nodded. "I've been doing some reading myself," she said. "No harm in getting ahead if you can, I always say."

"Exactly, and the weather sort of encourages staying in and snuggling. Although I really would like some more snow," Isabel grumbled.

"More snow would be nice," Lana said a little wistfully. "And snuggling is always good."

"Well we still have another month or two of winter. Hopefully we'll get lucky. So how's Jim?" she asked.

"Jim..." Lana blushed a little. "He's great. He wants us to officially move in together. Not like I don't practically live in his room already, but it would kind of make it even more real. How are you and Greg?"

Isabel can't quite imagine being with Greg twenty-four seven but if it would work for Lana and Jim, more power to them. "Really? Good for you. Greg and I are doing well. We had a fun night out at Caritas on Friday."

Lana smiled. "Sounds like fun. I keep meaning to go to one of the Teal Deer concerts, but I never quite seem to get there."

"You should," she said. "At least this one was a little less insane then the last one. It was in Wheeling and on the ride home the van broke down. You wouldn't believe who fixed it for us."

"Who?" Lana asked curiously.

"Bigfoot," Isabel said, shaking her head at the memory. "And he's also a fan of Teal Deer. Of course before we found this out, we had a half hour of re-enacting your typical slasher movie on the dark road."

"Yeah, I can imagine that would have given me a few bad moments," Lana said. "Bigfoot... Do you suppose the weirdness from fandom is starting to leak out into the surrounding areas?"

"Maybe?" she shrugged. "Although Bigfoot or something similar is usually a pretty common legend."

Lana nodded. "But at least where I come from it's considered to be no more real than, well... lots of things that are real here, I guess."

"True," Isabel nodded. "So how are classes going?"

"So far, so good," Lana said with a smile. "I think I'm really going to like them. And I'm in two classes with Jim and another two with Jack, so at least there's the pretty if nothing else."

"Oh yes, I totally agree," she laughed. "What two? Because maybe you're in one of mine and I just missed you in the crowd."

"Well, I know both of you are in Adventuring Survival tactics with the Doctor. Jack's also in Traditional Fairy Tales with me and Jim's in Conflict Resolution and Forensic Science." She smiled at Isabel.

"Ah, okay. Jack's in The Gods and You with me. He's already gotten one detention," Isabel said, rolling her eyes. "I don't have any classes with Greg although I wound up playing dead body for his Forensics class last week."

Lana shook her head. "The first week of class? And yeah, I think I was the about the only one not really weirded out by you playing a dead body."

"The first week of class. Apparently you can't piss off the cranky War god." Isabel faceplamed. "That's right, you were there."

"I'd think not pissing off cranky war gods would be a given, but maybe that's just me," Lana said with a grin. "And don't worry about it. It takes me forever to remember who was where and when. The first week with all the new students and everything just always seems like a blur."
