4th floor common room, Monday after Lunch

Having gone to the office to get her mini-vacation with Father approved, Ami sat down in the 4th floor common room to do a bit of reading. She had several College catalogs in front of her, and her computer was nearby for reference purposes. A large bowl of popcorn was on the floor where she could reach it.

Setsuna breezed in for a snack before training. She gave Ami a small smile and a nod, but didn't want to interupt her reading if she was really into it.

Ami was always into her reading, but that did not mean she couldn't be distracted. When Sersuna entered, ami looked up and waved. "Hi"

Setsuna was glad that Ami was feeling slightly distractable. She waved back. "Hello, Ami. Good book?"

Coming back up from her lunch with Mac, Cally heard voices in the fourth floor common room, so she stuck her head in.

"Hello?"

Setsuna smiled at the stuck-in head. "Hey, Cally."

"Hey Setsuna," Cally said. "Hand gestures to fight evil. Weird, huh?"

Setsuna nodded in agreement. "I think Doctor Orpheous is insane if he thinks they'd actually be effective in a real battle with evil, but they are very good for preventative measures. I actually use mudra for what little magic I can do..."

And then Setsuna shifted a little uncomfortably. "Sorry for not asking to partner up with you." Even the idea of doing warding gestures around Cally made her feel all squeemish. She hadn't wanted to spend time paying particular attention to the way Cally was moving her hands.

"S'okay, sorry the other way around," Cally said. "Been a little... on edge."

"On edge?" Setsuna frowned. "Is everything okay, Cally?"

"Eeeeh," Cally said. "I don't want to worry you at all."

"Hi Setsuna. Well, it is a catalog. I would like to take a correspondence course in Maths you see."

Ami looked up at the new voice. "Hi"

"Impossible," Setsuna decuded firmly, crossing her arms over her chest. "The worry has already been established, and will only get worse with not knowing."

"I... kinda got attacked this weekend," Cally said.

"Hi," Cally said. "You must be one of the numerous new kids I've totally failed to meet."

Setsuna looked at Ami for a long moment.

"...Why?" she asked.

AMi chuckled. "Yup. I am Ami Mizuno." She did not bow or anything, having decided that this place was just not that formal.

Ami raelly did not understand the question. "Um, because otherwise i am not takingany Maths classes this term?"

"Attacked?" Setsuna's eyes widened. "By what?"

Setsuna allowed a small smile as she went over and joined Ami on the couch. "Isn't that a good thing?"

"I'm Cally," she said. "Nice to meet you, Ami."

"...evil jackass," Cally said, not wanting to worry Setsuna more. "He's taken care of, though."

"No!" Ami sounded positively horrified. "Maths is very important, especially for future study."

"Nice to meet you Cally. Popcorn?" Ami indicated the bowl on the floor.

There was nothing Cally could do to lessen Setsuna's worry at this point. She frowned deeply. "...When...did this happen? Where? Was it...here?"
