Second Floor Common Room - Thursday Morning (Before Classes)

The giant pillow/blanket/chair fort of awesome was still up from last night. Thankfully, someone had turned the TV off so Rescued by the Alarm wasn't on anymore. Kawalsky had fallen asleep during that really bad murder mystery weekend episode where Zeke was in on it the whole time.

Worst episode ever.

He emerged from the fort and eyed the common room kitchenette. This situation called for pancakes. He got to it, being a pancake ninja and all.

"Pancakes! Get your pancakes."

[OOC: Free pancakes! Feel free to come in or say that you stayed there the whole night in the fort. I'll be here until I fall asleep.]

"Ah, it happens," Cameron reassured her. "We're used to mix ups. I'm the cute one, so he should feel flattered."

Katara crossed her arms over her chest. "Is that what your mother told you?" she asked, trying not to grin.

"No, it's just true," he pointed at John. "See, he doesn't work out and I do. So he's pudgier. Which makes me cuter."

She looked from Cameron to John and back to Cameron. "Uh huh."

"I knew you'd agree," Cameron grinned at her. "Have you tried the pancakes?"

"Yep! Charlie gave me some," Katara said. "And I found hot chocolate." There was gleeful grin at that.

"Now that's a good combo," Cameron decided. "You should try adding ice cream too."

"...ice cream?" she asked.

He raised an eyebrow. "You don't know what ice cream is?"

"I know what ice is," Katara said with certainty.

"I guess it's iced cream," Cameron said with a shrug. "I'm not sure exactly how it's made, I've never tried it myself."

He walked back into the kitchenette area of the common room, heading straight for the freezer. "With a bit of luck, there's some in here."

Katara followed him into the kitchenette. "Cream like from a cow pig?"

"Just a cow," he said, frowning a little. "I've never heard of people drinking pig's milk." He wrinkled his nose, but got soon distracted by rummaging through the freezer.

"Ah ha!" he cried out in triumph as he found some vanilla ice cream.

"No, cowpig," she said. "They don't get split in half like that." Katara grinned at his triumph and found a spoon to dish some onto her plate of pancakes.

He was too concentrated on scooping the ice cream that it took a moment for her words to sink in. "Like a cow and pig in one animal?"

"Yes..." she replied slowly. "It's not a 'cow' and a 'pig.' Like you wouldn't separate out a turtleseal into a turt and a leseal."

Cameron looked up at her, trying not to laugh as it was kind of amusing. "It's a turtle and a seal," he corrected. "I think I might understand what you mean, but you're going to have to take pictures before I can be sure."

Katara frowned. "You have strange animals here. I could try to draw them for you. But I'm not very good at all."

"I'd say you have strange animals on the South Pole," he replied with a grin.

"Either way, you should try the ice cream first before you try to drawn it in hot chocolate."
