5th Floor Common Room, Friday morning after third period

After class, Bel made his way back up to the fifth floor. Instead of heading to his room, he sat down on the couch in the common room, picking up the remote and turning on the TV. He flipped through the channels, idly looking for something to occupy a few hours.

"Hello," Bel said, eyeing the girl.

"Hey." Tori smiled slightly, not recognizing him.

"You must be new," Bel said. "I haven't met many of the new students yet. I'm Belthazor."

"You guessed right." Tori nodded, smiling. "I'm Tori."

"Where are you from, Tori?" Bel asked, sizing her up to see if she might be a potential threat to him at all.

"Blue Bay Harbor, California." Tori answered, not having been asked that question in quite some time.

"Ah, I'm from San Francisco, or thereabouts," Bel said.

"A fellow Californian." Tori acknowledged. "There's to be a few around here."

"My girlfriend is from San Francisco, too," Bel said. "Phoebe Halliwell, have you met her?"

"Oh, cool." Tori replied. "No, I don't believe I have." She would have remembered because she would've immediately thought back to Chris and Wyatt.

"So how did you end up in Fandom?" Bel asked curiously.

"I decided to finish up my senior year here. Needed a change of scenery." Tori shrugged. "What about you?"

"Would you believe I was sent here to learn how to be human?" Bel chuckled.

Tori smirked. "I've heard stranger reasons."

"I used to be part demon," Bel said. "I'm...better now."

"That's good to hear." Tori smiled warmly.

"What about you?" Bel asked. "Mutant, superhero, witch? If you don't mind me asking."

"Not at all." Tori shook her head with a smile. "I'm a ninja." She waited to see what his reaction would be.

"A ninja?" Bel repeated, raising an eyebrow. "An assassin?"

Tori shook her head and let out a small laugh. Her? An assassin? "No, not an assassin. Just trained in the ways of the ninja."

"I wasn't aware ninjas trained in California," Bel said.

"There's an academy there, that's where I trained. Obviously, not many people know of it." Tori smirked.
