Third Floor Common Room, Late Saturday Night

Tori walked into the common room, unable to sleep after having encountered her friends, who were somehow different personalities. It made no sense. And she felt like Lothor would show up any minute... she almost wished he would, because it would explain what was going on in Fandom.

She crashed onto the couch with a sigh, wondering just what the hell was happening here.

Tori figured she might contact Cam and see if he had any theories and if there had been any activity at the Abyss of Evil.

"And Peter, too," Conner added, teetering on the breakdown brink himself. "And . . . agh, everybody!"

"Oh, God, Conner," she said, really starting to freak out now. "I'm useless. I don't have powers, and I let Bridge lost his powers, and now something else has happened and he thinks he's a ho and I have no idea what it is or how to stop it, and I'm going to have to tell Cruger and he's going to throw me out of the cadet program and put me in itty bitty card jail."

"Okay, okay, Z, hang on," Conner said, reaching over to put his hands on her shoulders. It was halfway meant to keep him from freaking out too, really. "We'll get this sorted out somehow, okay? You guys didn't lose your powers on purpose or anything, and they can't throw you out just for getting attacked, right? I mean . . . lots of people think they're other people today, and I'm seeing people around that I've never seen before. And if my brain would just stop breaking long enough to figure something out, maybe we could do something about it!"

Yeah, he wasn't doing much better in the not-freaking-out department.

Z shook her head and said, "He'll probably make me serve extra time to make me serve extra time to pay him back for my expenses here." And then, just as she felt herself start to lose it--her eyes flashed.

And then there were two Zs. "What just happened?" the new Z asked the room at large.

Conner shook his head quickly, then leaned forward to poke the new Z in the arm.

"I think you totally just replicated."

"I thought I didn't have powers any more," she said, and poked Conner back.

"I thought so too," Conner said, and meeped at the poke. "Can you try and do it again? On purpose this time?"

"I...guess so." Oh, look at that. Three Zs. "Woo! We're back! One less reason to send me to itty bitty card jail!" One of the Zs did a little dance. The other two hugged gleefully.

Conner had to admit, the gleefully hugging Zs were pretty cute. In fact, he was compelled to do a dorky little bit of an in-his-seat boogie himself. "It was temporary!" he said exuberantly. "You're gonna be okay now!"

He was taking every little bright spot he could get in this weekend, so far.

"Get me a soda!" Z told one of the replicates. Then she absorbed the other one as the first went off to do her bidding. "It works!"

"It does!" Conner looked disturbed, all of a sudden -- not to break up the celebratory moment, but it was kind of a concern. "Oh geez, what if Bridge gets his powers back and he's . . . you know, with somebody?"

"Oh he--hey, maybe if his powers come back, he'll snap back to normal!" Z said hopefully.

Conner crossed his fingers on both hands and held them up. "Yeah, let's hope so, 'cause otherwise I got nothing."
