Dorm Roof, Monday Afternoon (Before 7th Period)

Okay, so the roof wasn't exactly the best place to go when you wanted to hide your face, but it was kind of The Spot for smoking, brooding, and emo as far as Anders was concerned, anyone else's declarations to the contrary completely disregarded.

He was, in the wake of his alternate persona's weekend activities, currently engaged in all three of the above.

Smoking? Well, yeah. He was flaily and trying to calm down in a very unhealthy way.

Brooding? Hey, he'd been a jerk to a lot of people, threatened to kill a few more, and oh-sweet-Lords-of-Kobol, let vampire Willow bite him. So, guilt, which led to brooding.

Emo? Look, he'd gotten to really like that black-orbing thing. He was gonna miss that.

Tori blushed ever so slightly. "Well, you could say I had a similar experience." She nodded, offering a small smile. "Yeah, I bet that's the crappy part, getting to remember everything. Even though, it was a completely different personality that acted out."

"Stuff I can't even believe I -- holy frak, I have some apologizing to do," Anders said. "And mental images I don't need and lords, I made out with my best friend!"

Tori winced slightly. "Yeah, it looks that way." She hadn't meant that to sound accusatory or anything. "Well, I'm sure in a couple of days, people will begin to forget." She hoped.

Anders caught the wince. "Sorry, it wasn't anything against you," he said awkwardly. "It's all just kind of surreal. I might have to go tackle that bottle of ambrosia in my closet if it doesn't start to get less surreal soon."

Plus he had this feeling Bel was going to kill him.

"Oh, I know." Tori smiled, no hard feelings to bear. "Well, if you need to vent some more or anything, I'm around." She offered.

Anders managed a real smile at that. "I might have to take you up on that. Thanks."

"Anytime. Just let me know." Tori offered.

Anders pretended to reconsider for a moment. "Yeah, considering you helped me save my best friend last week, I'm pretty sure I can trust you if I have to unload some drama," he teased.

"Glad to know I've proved to be trustworthy, just by attempting to rescue someone. If that's all it takes..." She smirked.

"This also means I do my thing and make cupcakes just for you," Anders added. "With sprinkles. Blue sprinkles, maybe?"

He had no idea why he picked that. It just seemed appropriate.

"Cupcakes? Remind me to sign up for some more rescue missions." Tori laughed. "Blue sprinkles work." She grinned. "Seriously though, you don't have to." Sure, she loved cupcakes, but he didn't have to go to all that trouble.

"Think of it as my way of making up for the massive jerk not-me was," Anders insisted. "Besides, I like making cupcakes."

"All right." Tori nodded, with a small smile. 'Not-him' hadn't really been a jerk to her, but it was a nice gesture. "So if I were to have any parties in the near future, would you be willing to make cupcakes for them?" Not that she was going to, it was just a thought.

Anders perked up. "Just give me enough advance notice, and I totally will!"
