5th Floor Common Room - Monday, late afternoon

Annette was laying on the couch, on her belly, ankles crossed; a pillow shoved up under her arms. She was flipping through the television channels, not really paying attention to what was on. A minute here a minute there, nothing really snapping out at her. Her mind was too preoccupied thinking about who and what she met and talked to over the weekend. It was totally...mind consuming.

Frozen pizza was in the oven cooking. She knew she could do that. Just had to take the plastic off and stick it in the oven. She forgot to read how long it took to cook though. When she could smell it good, then she would know it was done. Hopefully. Annette wasn't too bright in the kitchen department.

Rikku was liking this less the more she heard it. "Do you think it's safe here?"

"About as safe as it is, anywhere. Look at it this way: Everywhere you go, there are a billion ways you could get hurt or get killed, even if nothing weird is going on. But how many of those places are also filled with people with magic healing abilities, people with super strength, people with special powers that can help protect you and your friends?"

Rikku nodded. "I bet you're right. Besides ..." She dropped her voice, blushing a bit. "I'm really sorry about all the stuff I took, but I gotta admit, the fairy thing? Was way fun."

"There you go. A bright side."

Rikku grinned. "There always is one, you know. And thanks."

She gestured to the bag again. "And I really am sorry. Good thing you can pick locks, huh?"

"Yeah, it would have been really awkward having to break down my own door."
