"Yeah, I heard you ended up in the clinic And on your birthday too! Talk about major suck," Mel said with a sympathetic look. "What happened? Is there a demon on the loose?"

Okay now Mel was just looking hopeful.

"Major suckage," Buffy agreed, then grinned at Mel's expression. "I don't really remember, but if you see anyone or anything with black eyes, you can probably beat on them just in case!"

Mel does not Squee. Or at least not audibly. It's all internal. You might see it in her eyes.

"Rocketship," she replied. "I'll keep an eye out for him or her. So have you ever thrown one of these things before?"

Mel jabs a thumb at the poster.

"Because according to the movie we have to wear pajamas and play silly games."

Buffy nodded. "Yup, I'm a veteran at these kinds of things. PJs and silly games are mandatory. Especially Truth or Dare and silly Cosmo quizzes! And painting nails. That's very important." Nodnodnod.
