Gym - Cheerleading practice - Wednesday, Feb. 7 - after classes

Molly went down to the gym early again and got everything set up for cheer practice.

She spent some time practicing her punches while she waited for the others to show up.

"... When???"

"Uhh, it was a while ago," Chad said. "Back in Japan. But you don't exactly forget something like that."

"Oh my. Well... I should think then you'd want to be as high up as possible... So stuff couldn't fall on you from above."

Chad's prevailing silence should clue Pippi in that he found this as a really good point and had no arguement for it, but was possibly still trying to think of one.

"Oh you should try a basket toss it's so much fun!"

"I should...try it?" Chad shifted his attention back to Pippi. "Y'mean you want me to try tossin' you up in one now? We should wait until practise starts; we'll have plenty of time for it."

"Well you're gonna have to start tossing and lifting at some point Chad, you're a base after all... But that isn't what I meant."

"Actually, I'm a spotter," Chad pointed out and, for once, was catching on to what Pippi was saying. He, fortunately, had enough experience in being tossed by super strong redheads (thank you, Ranma) to get this one. "Maybe a base. Not a flyer. Nice try, though."

"Oh but you would look SOOOOOOO cool!"

"I would look awkward."

"Nooo you wouldn't, you're a lot more graceful then you give yourself credit for."

And this would be Chad, looking down at Pippi, with an arch of his eyebrow, which she probably couldn't see because of the hair, but it was there.

"I'm serious!"

Chad grunted. Yeah. He was a regular frickin' gizelle.

"Next I know, you're going to be telling me I should join ballet..."

Pippi folded her arms and looked at him.

"Well, if you think you're such a hulking galunk you could join the dance club and work on that. But I remembering you wrestling some trolls a while back and I can say with authority that you're pretty well coordinated."

"Coordinated and graceful ain't the same thing, Pippi. There's nothing graceful about rolling around in the mud with a troll."

Chad's eyes shifted away for a moment, as his brain repeated that statement, replacing the word 'troll' with various other options...There might have been a grunt of a laugh.

"And how many graceful klutzes do you know?"

"None. An' that's my point."

"Yer not a klutz Chad."

"Ain't exactly a gizelle, either, Pippi."

"Lots of graceful things aren't tiny and delicate. You don't have to be a gizelle. I once saw this big fat Hawaiian sumo wrestler surfing this huge tubey wave, and it was quite a sight let me tell you."

"I don't ever really feel graceful, though. Jus' awkward."

"Well, we can work on that."
