Gym - Cheerleading practice - Wednesday, Feb. 7 - after classes

Molly went down to the gym early again and got everything set up for cheer practice.

She spent some time practicing her punches while she waited for the others to show up.

Nadia grinned, still sitting on the floor, breathing hard.

"Well, I was pretty sure you'd hold still. . . ." Nadia shrugged, pushing herself back to her feet. "I promise, warning next time. Shoulda seen the look on your face, though."

Chad drew in a breath; whatever the look on his face might have been, it had to be nothing compared to the look on hers when he got her back for this. Some time.

"Why you jumping around and stuff like that, anyway? I take it you're feeling better?"

Nadia rolled her eyes. "I'm fine. And that's what I do. Mascot, remember? I don't do most of the flippy-throwy things the cheerleaders do, so I've got to have my own thing."

After a moment of consideration, Chad decided, "I think your stuff is cooler."

"Definitely," Nadia agreed modestly. "You should try it!"

"I could try. . . ." As far as Nadia could tell, other than a few techniques, it was mostly just about knowing what your body could do. "You'd have an advantage on a lot of it, since you're so tall."

Chad nodded a little. "That's good." Tall didn't get to be an advantage much, mostly in party decorations and finding people in a crowd.

"A lot of the stuff is jumping and grabbing and climbing and stuff. You wouldn't have to jump nearly as high as other people."
