Fifth floor common room, Tuesday afternoon

Nadia didn't have any classes on Tuesdays, so she was in the common room, sitting up with her laptop, the speakers turned up rather loud in an attempt to make sure she didn't unexpectedly fall asleep, as she tooled around the internet, looking for inspiration for something to do for Walter for Valentine's Day.

She paused every now and then to reflect that Valentine's Day had been a whole lot easier when she was single and didn't have to worry about weird traditions that she wasn't entirely familiar with.

"Yeah, so I have to do the American thing for the holiday, right?"

"Well then I need to get something for Pip besides... How about a fancy cigarette case?"

"I bet Pip would like that, especially if it was water-proof and . . . grenade proof."

"I dunno there's time to find a grenade proof one."

"Well, water proof, at least."

"You could get one for Walter. I bet he'd like popping it open with his wires."

"Hm." Nadia thought about that. "Mayyyyyyybe,"

"...Unless you want to try and get him to stop smoking."

Nadia shrugged. "I don't care if he smokes. And when people quit they get really cranky. I don't want a cranky boyfriend."

Pippi nodded.

"This is very true."

Nic fitting Walter is an unhappy Walter.

Nic fitting Walter told by his girlfriend that he couldn't smoke? Very unhappy Walter.

"So, what are you and Pip going to do?"

"... I dunno. I kinda been nervous about bringing it up. We don't actually have plans, but we're doing something."

"That sounds good. Very . . . you guys."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"That you guys like to do things without planning them out? I kinda miss doing that."

'You been planning stuff?"

[nadiathesaint]

"We're always planning stuff. 'Let's play croquet in the stairwell'. 'Let's get a room at the hotel'. 'Let's go camping'. I mean, it's not bad. But it's what we do."

"We could play twistja... That had an unexpected out come."

"Heck yeah, it did. We were thinking that we should get some gear together and try it again, see where we end up and have an adventure. Like a double date."

"I thought it sounded like fun, too."

"Yeah, we should do that soon."

"Maybe after the dance?" Nadia shook her head. "And here I go with the planning, again."

"It's good to have a plan sometimes." Pippi said. "And after the dance would be fun I think!"
