Fifth floor common room, Tuesday afternoon

Nadia didn't have any classes on Tuesdays, so she was in the common room, sitting up with her laptop, the speakers turned up rather loud in an attempt to make sure she didn't unexpectedly fall asleep, as she tooled around the internet, looking for inspiration for something to do for Walter for Valentine's Day.

She paused every now and then to reflect that Valentine's Day had been a whole lot easier when she was single and didn't have to worry about weird traditions that she wasn't entirely familiar with.

"Nope," Nadia would have turned it up even more, but the speakers on the laptop only went so loud.

"Got bit by a Gremlin that I discovered in the closet."

Pippi was returning from her Heroing class when she noticed Nadia.

"Hey."

"Hey, Pippi," Nadia looked up and smiled. "How's it going?"

"I thwarted a bank robbery!"

"With your cleavage? Cool! How'd you do that?"

Walter had taken care of most of his Nadia/Valentine's related matters and thus did not have to worry about last minute things. He wandered into the common room after Alianne's Revolutions class and plopped down in a chair, wondering how long it would take Nadia to notice his arrival with the mask of loud music.

Pippi waved at Walter.

Walter waved back and propped his feet up before starting at his shoes with a brush. He'd gotten all the mud out of his hair, but his shoes were going to take a good deal more work.

"Happy Tuesday."

"And to you too." Pippi said. She'd yet to change out of her Pirate Princess uniform.

"What's with the mud?"

"Hullo, Schrodinger." Perhaps not the friendliest of greetings, but he wasn't trying to cut the boy's ears off, either.

"How finds you? Torn any vampires apart, lately?'

It took a little bit, in fact as the mun just had the commute from HELL. When she did, though, she grinned. "Walter!"

"Working on your Adventure Story?" Walter asked, grinning back. She did come up with some of the most interesting, if occasionally anatomically improbable, ideas for that story.

No, not at all. "Yep." She quickly minimized her browser. "How was class?"

Billy came in, and without much preamble asked everyone in general:

"Anyone in here been bit by a Gremlin before?"

"Nope. I was one once, though,"

"You turned into a Gremlin?"

"During a basketball game this summer."
