Fifth floor common room, Tuesday afternoon

Nadia didn't have any classes on Tuesdays, so she was in the common room, sitting up with her laptop, the speakers turned up rather loud in an attempt to make sure she didn't unexpectedly fall asleep, as she tooled around the internet, looking for inspiration for something to do for Walter for Valentine's Day.

She paused every now and then to reflect that Valentine's Day had been a whole lot easier when she was single and didn't have to worry about weird traditions that she wasn't entirely familiar with.

"Awww. I like you. Or I did before I learned how paranoid you are. Still, if I'm really your friend, I'll learn to forgive and help you learn to trust people."

"It's not PEOPLE I don't trust. It's YOU."

"I still don't understand why you're so untrusting. Is it really just because you had a weird dream about me?"

"There was no weird dream, and you've never given me any reason TO trust you."

"You've never given me the chance."

"I gave you plenty chance. All you've done is be creepy."

"Oh? What chance have you given me to prove that I'm trustworthy?"

"The same I've given everyone here. And you lost that, when you were in my room that night with the box that had the things that made me hallucinate in it."

"Which we've established very well have could have been hallucination," Schrodinger responded. "So we're right back to 'you think you had a bad dream about me'."

"It wasn't a hallucination. Now go away!"

Schrodinger shrugged. "Well, if you can't trust your own sense, what can you trust? I mean, it would be terrible if they started playing tricks on you."

Nevermind that that had been something Nadia was worried about, anyway, what with the falling asleep thing. "Go. Away."

And the next moment Nadia blinked?

Schrodinger was gone.

Yeah, that didn't put her at ease at all.

Well, at least he was gone.

She hoped.
