5th Floor Common Room [Evening]

After stowing Jeremiah's tank and Xander's knapsack in 227, Bridge and Xander head off in search of spaghetti. Why didn't they just use the Synthetron? Well, spaghetti's like toast. It's more fun to make it yourself.

As luck would have it, the only Common Room kitchen currently stocked with any spaghetti noodles is the one on the fifth floor. So here they are. Making dinner.

"Huh." Aly said. She leaned closer to Xander. "Want to see my pet?"

And somewhere, someone felt the need to say 'not dirty.'

Oh, Xander. Someday you will be old enough to look suspicious when a girl says something like this to you, since it will usually be followed by an attempt to devour your head, not dirty.

Aly bounced and reached up to her shiny black beaded necklace. The 'beads' formed into one big ball of inky blackness with a smaller ball on top for a 'head.'

"This is Trick!" Aly said.

Xander STARED at it. "Oooooooooh. What's that?"

"He's a darking!" Aly exclaimed.

Trick bounced on Aly's hand. "I'm Trick! Are you fun?"

"Uh-huh!" Xander nodded. "I like to play! I have a froggie and another froggie and a spaceship that Bridge bringed me from SPACE!"

"What's space?" Aly and Trick asked together.

Xander's eyes got wide. He pointed. ...up at the ceiling, yes. "It's...SPACE! Where the aliens and spaceships and stuff live."

"What are aliens?" Aly asked. "Are they like dragons?"

"Some are!" Xander nodded lots, thinking of movie-aliens. "But some are like people but from another planet."
