5th Floor Common Room [Evening]

After stowing Jeremiah's tank and Xander's knapsack in 227, Bridge and Xander head off in search of spaghetti. Why didn't they just use the Synthetron? Well, spaghetti's like toast. It's more fun to make it yourself.

As luck would have it, the only Common Room kitchen currently stocked with any spaghetti noodles is the one on the fifth floor. So here they are. Making dinner.

"I want to know how to do it," Aly said. "Maybe my daddy will teach me."

She didn't understand Miho. She just didn't see how that would restrict talking.

Miho totally didn't understand Aly, either, but again, she didn't see how that would restrict talking. "//I'm Miho. Wanna be friends?//"

"You're really pretty," Aly said. "I like your hair. 'M Aly! We can be friends and you can teach me how to climb in windows!"

"//Your hair is too bright,//" Miho told her new incomprehensible friend. "//Where I come from only Goldie has hair like that. S'why she's named Goldie. I think.//"

"Why aren't you in color?" Aly asked curiously. "OH! Do you have lockpicks? I could show you how to use them." She pulled her lockpicks out of her pocket and showed them to Miho.

Miho pulled her own set of lockpicks out of her sash and asked Aly, "//What? You want me to show you how?//"

Aly beamed. "You have them too! Auntie Sam let me pick her door earlier, but I don't have any other locks."

"//Let's go open doors,//" Miho suggested. She bet there were LOTS of doors in this building. "//And then we can see what people have--Gail says that not telling is called 'blackmail.'//"

"We should go find doors to open and see what's behind them!" Aly said excitedly. "Maybe we can find people's stuff."

Miho nodded in agreement with whatever Aly had just said and dashed for the door.
