Third Floor Common Room - Sunday Morning

Aly had woken up very, very hungry.  And she didn't want to wake up Mommy.  That would be bad. 

So instead she was very, very sneaky - she was going to be a spy after all and Daddy said she could be pretty too! - and crept out of the room until she found one of the big rooms with food in there.   She was awfully disappointed not to see Bridge making 'paghetti this time or Auntie Parkie with food though.

But there was food in the cupboards.  She knew it.  And that was why there was a weetiny blond girl carefully scaling the counter to get to the top cupboards where she just knew the good food was kept.

Wade woke up at an ungodly hour this morning, full of energy. He decided that he needed to visit his students. Yup, a visit to make sure they weren't doing anything bad.

And if they were, he could get Tex to arrest 'em!

He bounced into the common room and spotted Aly. "You! Stupid jerk!"

Aly stamped her foot on the counter where she was standing and almost fell right off. "AM NOT, MEAN BOY."

"ARE TOO!" Wade shouted back. "AN' AN' YOU HAVE COOTIES!"

"I DON' HAVE COOTIES! YOU GOT COOTIES!" She threw a plastic plate at him cause that was what's close at hand.

"NUH-UH!" Wade replied, dodging the plate. He picked it up and threw it back, making sure not to aim for her head. She was a girl after all. "You're just mad 'cause Allison is cooler than you!"

"She is not cooler than me! She's jus' bigger!" Aly threw another plate.

"She's sheriff!" Wade replied. "An' that's way better than some stupid baby!"

"'M a SPY!" Aly yelled. "And my mommy's a KNIGHT."

"An' I'm a teacher! An' a mercen- merceni- I kill people! Me an' the sheriff are AWESOME."

"It's not true if only you say it," Aly said, stomping her foot again.

"Yeah? Well, Aeryn thinks 'm awesome! An' she's a better sol'ier than you two EVER will be!"

Wade stomped his foot. "TAKE THAT BACK! NO STUPID GIRL IS BETTER THAN ME!"

Elliot quit dancing to make a face at the noisy kid. "You are not a nice boy."

Wade stuck his tongue out at her. "So?"

"So don't you wanna be nice so people will wanna be your friend and play with you?" Elliot demanded.

"SHE was mean to Allison!" Wade replied sulkily. "I didn't start it."

"Oh," Elliot said. "It's okay to be mean if somebody is mean to you first."

Wade nodded. They were clearly on the same page then. "I'm Wade, who are you?"

"I'm Elliot. I'm five," Elliot said. "How old are you?"

"Seven," He replied proudly.

Elliot looked at him admiringly. "You're big!"

Wade nodded. "An' thas how you know I'm tellin' the truth about the mean girl over there," he said, pointing toward Aly.

"But Aly's my friend," Elliot said, confused. "We're gonna play ninjas."

"I'm a real ninja!" Wade replied. "I have a sword at home an' everything!"
