Third floor common room, Sunday evening

Janet has made her way allllll the way to the dorms, and alllll the way up the stairs after talking to Pam. It's very tiring on her wee little legs, and she crawls up onto the couch with her eight pounds of clothes and towel cape, and decides she's bored.

She spots the remote and her eyes light up, and she reaches to grab it. The problem is, she doesn't know how to work the remote, so she's yelling "WORK!" at it and pouting when that doesn't turn the TV on.

She might need help. Or advice that TV ruins the brain.

"I didn't hit her!" Wade replied sulkily, just knowing where this had to be going. "I don't hit girls an' I was only trying to make 'em stop fighting!"

"Hey, of course not." Of course he probably had. "And that was very-- responsible of you, trying to stop the fight. People can get hurt that way." Parker paused, remembering some of the fights she'd been in not-so-long-ago. "Ahem. So, go you."

Wade nodded. It was the truth. He only shot at her, no hitting involved.

"An' I'm a teacher so I have to be responsible."

"Well, that makes sense. Hey, what do you teach?" Because she's *fairly* sure she doesn't know this one.

"Driver's Ed," Wade replied.

"Coooool." Parker took out her camera phone, and grinned. "Mind if I take your picture?"

"Why?" Wade asked, suddenly suspicious. "Are you one of the pedalfiles?"

"Eeewwwwwww." Parker's eyes widened. That was a new and bleah! reaction. "No. And if it's freaking you out, never mind. I figured you might want a souvenir from this weekend."

Wade tilted his head to the side. "Souvenir?"

Parker raised an eyebrow. Jeeez, this kid was suspicious. Good for him. "From everyone being here and camping out with the big kids. Since that doesn't usually happen."

Damn straight he was! "I don't even know your name! Why would I let you take my picture?"

"Totally valid point." Parker crossed her arms. "I'm Parker. Not that you have any proof of that. And you're pretty damn sharp."

Wade nodded in agreement with that.

"An' how do I know the picture won't be used by pedalfiles?"

"Well, I wouldn't. I don't know how to prove it, though." Parker frowned, thinking if there *was* a way to prove it, then raised her eyebrows. "Hmm. I could take a picture, print it, then delete the file from my phone. Although that's a lot of trouble to go to. But that's the only way you could be sure." She couldn't help but grin. "So we probably ought to skip the photo-ops, hmm."

Wade blinked at all the steps in the process. "...Okay."

Parker grinned. "I'll remind you of this conversation later. Feel free to go do something else now."

More blinking. "'Kay. Nice meeting you Parker!"
