Fifth floor common room, Tuesday evening

Nadia was sore, grumpy, and her hair smelled like monkey. She had no idea how she'd managed to get bruised while taking a nap in her room, but somehow, she'd done just that.

Which would be why she was camped out on the couch in the common room, some fluffy kids movie about computer generated animals playing on the TV, eating ice cream.

Normally, she would say it was too cold for ice cream. But see above notes about her soreness, grumpiness, and monkey-smellingness.

"Lots of chocolate," Stark said approvingly. "Sounds good."

"Best thing there is for a bad day. Other than snuggling."

[stykera]

"Chocolate does make most things better," Stark agreed. And he doesn't get nearly enough snuggles, so there's lots of chocolate to be eaten. "Why was it a bad day?"

[nadiathesaint]

"Mysterious bruises, I'm sore, and my hair smells like monkey."

[stykera]

It was probably best not to ask why her hair smelled like monkey.

"Oh. That does sound bad. I'm sorry."

[nadiathesaint]

Not that she'd know the answer if he did. "Thanks. Hence, chocolate. And fluffy movie about CGAs."

[stykera]

"CGAs?" Stark asked, giving the TV a confused look.

[nadiathesaint]

"Computer Generated Animals."

[stykera]

"Ohh." That made sense. "Right. Okay. Is it helping?"

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia shrugged. "I guess. I mean, I'm not trying to cross an icy tundra in order to reconnect with my entire species, so I guess my problems seem a little bit more silly."

"Not silly," Stark said. "Smaller maybe, than having to cross a tundra, but that doesn't make them silly."

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia shrugged. "I guess. Do you know anything about spells?"

[stykera]

"Not really," Stark said. "Not much experience with that. Why? Is that what's wrong? Or what you think is wrong?"

[nadiathesaint]

"It might be. I went to a clinic on the mainland last weekend, but they couldn't figure it out."

[stykera]

"And they wouldn't know, would they, if it was a spell or something like that? Have you asked anyone here?"

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia shook her head. "I have an amulet that protects from evil magic . . . but Molly pointed out it might not be evil. Just screwed up or something."

[stykera]

"I hope you can figure it out soon. And make it stop being wrong."

[nadiathesaint]

"I hope so too. Thanks."

[stykera]

"Until you do figure it out, I try to make sure I always have chocolate. If you need any more."
