Mel is settling down on the couch when she comes across "The Archivist: Fate of Spike" followed by "The Archivist 2: Return to King Goomba's Mine."

"I don't know who this Bob Newhart guy is but he kicks mega-butt."

Parker had wandered upstairs because everyone downstairs was watching "Flame Snake" and she just was not up for the phallic imagery there. "Hey, Mel."

"Parker," Mel said in greeting. "Sup?"

"Not much. Avoiding a bad movie downstairs to watch... a bad movie up here, it looks like." She grinned a little, and sat down. "Gun Club. Not much else at the moment. You?"

"Survived detention," Mel said with a shrug. "I take Saturday night off from patrolling. So it's movie night for me."

"Was your Detention Jamie-inspired, or otherwise earned?" Parker glanced at the TV, and frowned. "What is that guy doing?"

"Hey Mel," Katara said, wandering in to find hot chocolate. "Why'd you end up with detention?"

"Yo, detention buddy. Is this the one about the geek who uses book knowledge to be all Illinois Smith and save the day?"

Parker waved to Katara, and smiled big. "I hear I owe you a thank-you on behalf of a friend."

Katara tilted her head. "You do? I don't think so."

"Some jerk named Madrox," Mel grumbled. "I'm so kicking his butt when I find him."

"Jamie inspired," Mel said darkly. "I'm thinking of killing him."

Neil wandered down from his room in search of an evening snack. He paused briefly to look at the TV, his interest actually caught and held by the movie being shown.

"Huh."

"Yep. That Bob Newhart guy rocks."

"Hey," Mel said with a wave. "Join us."

"Jack? Whose shoulder you fixed up?" Parker was still smiling. "Thank you for cutting his moping-and-puppy-eyes time down by weeks and weeks. Seriously."

"Ooooo." Parker grinned, amused as always by destruction not aimed at her. "I'll bring popcorn? Not that I dislike Jamie, although he can be a pain in the ass. But it should be entertaining."

Parker saw Kawalsky sit down, and immediately tensed up. Frak. She'd wanted a little more prep time, but... "Hey."

"Evening." Neil said politely and after watching the Archivist doing his thing in a tomb, he nodded.

"Yeah, this looks kinda good. Let me grab a snack."

Making himself a quick sandwich and grabing a soda, Neil came back over and flopped down on the couch.

"I'm Neil." He said, short and sweet because he wasn't sure he'd met Mel yet but also didn't want to distract from the movie.

"Mel," she replied. "I haven't seen you around much. Do we have a class together?"

"Ohhh," Katara grinned. "You're welcome. I was happy to. Was he really that bad with the puppy eyes?"

"Not that detention was bad? I just don't want to be there unless I deserve it."

Katara wrinkled her nose. "Me too. He better hope he likes being drenched."

In mid bite of his sandwich, Neil used the act of chewing and swallowing to give himself some time to search his memory banks.

"Hunting?" He suggested. "With Winchester?"

"He really does. The geek not so much."

"Parker." He nodded, not entire cold, but not entirely friendly. Sort of a casual middle ground.
