Roof, Sunday evening - Memorial Service

While the weather had been snowy all day, the area near Bel's garden was free of snow tonight. The space around the roof held a touch of warmth and there was no wind to blow out the candles that flickered in the dusk.

A table by the door held candles for people to hold and a picture of Bel. Blair had found a fairly decent photo from the time in the cabins and while Bel wasn't exactly smiling into the camera, he wasn't glaring either.

Parker took one, then went to find Anders. "Hey. How are you?"

"Holding up," Anders said, "for now. This almost makes it too real."

Parker squeezed his shoulder. "I know." Memories of her mother's funeral, of leaving Faith, of other losses all got pushed aside for the moment. "I'm here if you need me."

Anders leaned over and rested his head against Parker's shoulder for a moment. "I appreciate it a hell of a lot, Parker. It's gonna be a rough night."

Parker didn't say anything, just patted him on top of his head, and closed her eyes, knowing there was nothing more she could say.

Anders let his hand drop down to squeeze hers briefly and stood in silence for a few moments.

"I got a feeling this is gonna be way harder for Phoebe . . . I should go pass on the moral support thing," he said finally.

Parker nodded. Maybe giving support would make him feel better. "Do that. I'll be around when you need a break."

"Yeah." Anders exhaled slowly. "I'll probably see you later tonight, then. And . . . thanks again."
