Roof, Sunday evening - Memorial Service

While the weather had been snowy all day, the area near Bel's garden was free of snow tonight. The space around the roof held a touch of warmth and there was no wind to blow out the candles that flickered in the dusk.

A table by the door held candles for people to hold and a picture of Bel. Blair had found a fairly decent photo from the time in the cabins and while Bel wasn't exactly smiling into the camera, he wasn't glaring either.

"So why did the fridge get blown up in the first place?" Wyatt asked.

"I was having an argument with his roommate at the time...who happened to be Bel," Piper said, totally leaving out the reason for the argument. "And the fridge kinda got in the way."

She couldn't help smiling. "So really, we have Bel to thank for that."

Chris turned to Lindsey. "Bel was your roommate? Funny, I never heard him mention you. Must not have been a good friend."

Never mind the fact that, you know, Chris had never actually spoken to Bel.

Lindsey flinched a little. "We roomed together until he moved in with Phoebe. And we had our differences. Doesn't mean he wasn't a friend."

"So," Wyatt said casually. "What are your intentions for our mother?"

Piper wasn't sure if she should be grateful that her sons are being over protective or if she should ground them for it.

Lindsey stared at Wyatt for a very long moment. "Um," he managed to say. "Um. I'm planning on sticking around as long as she'll have me."

That was nice and vague, right?

"And you're being careful and using protection?" Wyatt continued.

What? So he was being a little blunt.

Chris smirked. "Yeah, we're not supposed to be born yet. And we don't really want any other siblings."

Piper was resisting the urge to smack both of her sons upside the head. She settled for glaring instead. "That is none of your business. Also, what the HELL?"

Wyatt winced at the fire in his mother's eyes. But surely she wouldn't blow him up. "Sorry?" he said, smiling innocently at her.

Chris scooted closer to his brother, just in case she did try to blow them up. "Yeah, sorry," he echoed, his own smile totally matching Wyatt's.

Piper gave them both a sad look. "I just wanted you all to meet because you're all pretty important to me..."

She didn't really know what this animosity was about.

"Sorry," Wyatt said again, feeling guilty. "It's just...weird, you know?"

"Weird doesn't even begin to describe it," Lindsey said, shaking his head. "You making contraceptive cracks isn't exactly helping the weirdness level either."

"Maybe this wasn't a good idea," Piper said sadly. "I'm sorry for making everything awkward."

"No, it's okay," Wyatt said, trying to smile and reassure Piper. "It's just been a rough few days and all."

Chris nodded. "It's good to meet the people who are important to you." Adding silently, 'even if he isn't our dad'.

"Yeah, and it was going to happen anyway, right?" Piper really wanted to ask them where the animosity did come from, but she realized this wasn't the place for that. "So anyway, I think the portal will be here soon."

"You have to go so soon?" Wyatt said a little poutily.

Piper nodded. "Yeah. Wish I could stay, but...classes tomorrow. You'll make sure Phoebe's okay, right?"

"Of course," Wyatt said. "Me and Chris are keeping a close eye on her. And if we're not there, her other friend are, like Anders."

Piper nodded. "Good. Makes me feel a little better knowing she won't be alone."

"She's never alone, don't worry," Wyatt assured her.

Piper leaned in to hug Wyatt and Chris. "You two take care of yourselves, okay?"
