Conner sprawled out on the couch, scowling at his cell phone as if he expected to be able to intimidate it into ringing. He still hadn't seen or heard back from Lana, which was starting to worry him; trying to convince himself that he was being paranoid was kind of difficult.

In an attempt to distract himself from worrying into a panic, he turned on the TV and started flipping through channels until -- wait, what?!? "No freaking way, he muttered, and turned the volume up just in time to hear . . .

"Coming up right after this, don't miss the hourlong world premiere of Relic Hunters Adventure Squad, the brand new series based on the true adventures of the Overdrive Power Rangers!"

"Hi there, what, excuse me?!?" sputtered Conner, sitting bolt upright and staring at the TV. "Overdrive, what? Who are these guys?" From the tone of his voice, you'd think he thought they were imposters or something.

"Yeah, he was going to be camping out right here for the next hour and a half, because this he had to see.

[OOC: Yes, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive premieres tonight, so I just couldn't help myself. Relic Hunters Adventure Squad is gonna be the meta for both OO and Boukenger; thanks to

"Thanks." Tori just shook her head at the television. "The logo is pretty cool, I have to admit." She agreed. "How do they come up with these names, honestly? Tell and Kahn?"

"Our real names are much cooler," Conner said, shaking his head sadly. "Oh, look, they named the Pink Ranger after a flower. A pink flower."

Obviously he hadn't met the Mystical Artifacts teacher.

But then, none of them had any idea about her anyway.

"Oh, definitely." Tori agreed. She honestly couldn't believe what she was watching. "Wow, what a stretch. That must have been hard for the writers to come up with." She visibly facepalmed and groaned.

"Bobbi's cute, though," Conner said. "I could live with muting this theme song to check her out every week."

He scrambled back up onto the couch. "I love it when the Yellow Ranger's hot."

Tori shook her head in amusement. "I think muting the theme is a necessity." She laughed.

"Do you?" She smirked. This was too funny.

"She's a race car driver," Conner said dreamily. "How can you not love that?"

"A race car driver. Sounds like an exciting career to have." Tori mused. "It's very cool." She admitted, with a smile.

"Dude, they got recruited! With cool high-tech hologram-thingies!" Conner exclaimed. "I had to get detention and fall into a cave to get my powers!"

"Wow. Those gadgets were awesome!" Tori was in awe. "I stopped to help an elderly couple change their flat tire, even though Shane was against it. Made us late for our training, thankfully."

"Thankfully? Oh, right, the Academy got trashed," Conner said.

Then stared. "HEY! HE STOLE MY SHIRT!"

"That it did." Tori nodded.

She also stared at the television. "Dude, low blow. How do they do that?" Tori was bewildered beyond belief.

"He just wishes he was me," Conner grumbled. "Aww, Lily's a tech geek. It's like, if Willow was a Power Ranger!"

"That he does." Tori smiled reassuringly. She then laughed. "Oh wow, it is!"

"Yeah, and genetic resequencing? At least I got a cool piece of jewelry out of that experience," Conner added. "They just get to stand in a shimmery force field for a little while. But dude. Those uniforms are kinda sweet."

"I wonder... will they always have their abilities since the resquencing?" That was something to think about. "You did, that's true. It's a very nice bracelet." Tori nodded, with a small smile. She studied the uniforms. "They are pretty cool looking. I wouldn't mind having one."

"Me neither," Conner said enviously. "I didn't have to wear one, but wow, if I could have one like that? I'd totally wear it. Ooooh, their weapons are cool."

"I did, but you knew that all ready." Tori replied. She actually had it here with her, underneath her bed. "Me too. Oh, I like the pink ranger's weapon." No one could go wrong with a water weapon.

"You would," Conner snickered. "Dude, if my Tyrannostaff had a cool blade like that, I'd . . . I don't know what I would've done. And . . ."

He watched O'Reilly pull off a really sick crashing move with his lance. "Aw, man. I never got any super sweet moves like that."

Tori stuck her tongue out at Conner. Why yes, she was being mature. "Oh, if Shane saw that, I think he might be a bit jealous."

Tori raised an eyebrow. "The yellow ranger has drive claws?" They just looked... funny. They might be useful but, it was just weird.

"Yeah, well." Conner shrugged. "Didn't you have, like, a megaphone?"

"It was called a sonic fin." Tori nodded. "But it was pretty much a megaphone, yeah."

"My point exactly -- see, they might look goofy, but check her out digging a hole in solid rock!"

"Yeah, it's actually pretty cool how they can do that." Tori admitted, with a smile.

"Goofy but useful." Conner nodded in satisfaction. "That's pretty much perfectly in Ranger tradition."

Tori also nodded, in agreement. "So, it seems."
