Fourth floor Common room, Tuesday night, and all through the night into Wednesday morning

Ami continued sitting under a blanket in the common room. She found a marathon of shows on Ancient Vikings, which she was only vaguely watching. Mostly she was trying to make sure there was noise, light and lack of sleep. She was afraid to be alone, afraid to be in the dark and afraid to close her eyes.

"Alright. I think i was missing all of Monday. So was Billy. What about you and Lana?"

"I was taken Monday night... and missing most of Tuesday." Tori explained. "I'm not so sure about Lana. I think she was found on Tuesday as well, according to Conner."

"So... what is the difference between me and Billy and you and Lana? Or maybe what are the similarities between Billy and me and between you and Lana?" Ami was grasping at straws, but better then nothing.

Tori shook her head. "I don't know. For Lana and I? Well, we're both on the cheerleading team. She's from Kansas and I'm from California." She pondered the questions. "You and Billy are together... but I don't know if that would apply here."

"I don't think it would... and we were not in the same place at the time... Alright... so nothign really similar... and a lot of things different." Well, it was a thought...

"Maybe that's what counts? That we're all different and they picked us out because of it." Tori added, attempt to think along the same lines as Ami.

"Maybe... But then everyone is different..."

"Yeah, I know." Tori sighed, in frustration. She went to run a hand through her hair, it was an automated reflex, and winced when she touched the bandage by accident.

"Careful." Ami said, noticing the wince. "I think we need to not re-injure ourselves."

Tori nodded, with a wry smile. "That's all we need now."

"At least it is break. We don't have to miss classes because we have to sit and rest." She took a sip of her water. "And drink fluids. Which you are doing, right?"

"We can be thankful for that." Tori nodded, in agreement. She smiled slightly. "I am. I will be following Dr. Troy's instructions, and if I don't? Annette and Conner will make sure I do."

"Good" with a sigh Ami leaned back against the couch. "There is something we are missing here..."

Tori was getting tired, so she smiled and shut her eyes. "I wouldn't dare disobey Dr. Troy. Trust me." Especially when it meant her getting better. "I know and I wish I could figure that out..."

Which was right about when an image of her strapped to what looked to be an examination table, the restraints preventing her from moving. Tori's eyes flew open and she sat up quickly, suddenly afraid to close her eyes again.

"What? What happened?" Tori's sudden movement made Ami jump.

Tori had noticed Ami jump and smiled apologetically at her. "Sorry." She sighed and shook her head, attempting to make the image go away.

"I... I was strapped to some sort of examination table and I couldn't move, no matter how hard I tried." She explained.

Tori's words brought back a flood of images. Restraints... bright lights... scalpels... some sort of weird clicking implement... odd noises... a smell of decaying flesh...

Ami screamed.

Tori didn't know what had happened when Ami screamed, but she looked absolutely terrified.

"Ami! Ami, it's okay, you're safe." She hoped her words were reassuring and calmed Ami down, Tori didn't know what she was seeing. Whatever it was, it was terrifying.

Ami's eyes were wide with fear, but she did register that it was Tori speaking to her. "A a a" she stuttered as she collected her self. "Um. Sorry about that."

"You don't have to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong." Tori managed a small smile. "What happened?"

"You mentioned um... restraints... and well, i got some images... I think from Monday." Ami shuddered.

Tori grimaced. "I didn't mean for that to happen to you." She knew it wasn't her fault, but she still felt bad.

"It's ok, i know... I just saw all these medical implements..."

"It's scary, I know." Tori offered her a small smile. She wondered what else they'd see before the week's end.

Ami didn't want to think about what they would see, but ti was probably important. "It is... but we probably need to remember as much as we can..."
