Luke had been cooped up entirely too long as he'd recovered from the effects of last weekend.

It was time to be social.

Or--as he was currently doing--catching up on his Food Network shows.

Alton Brown ruled.

"Alton Brown," Luke said, eager for a change in subject. "He's making cinnamon rolls."

"Yeah? I bet the synthetron, my new favorite roommate, makes better ones." No, Z wasn't letting this go that easily. What are you, new?

Luke flinched. Point definitely taken.

"Does the synthetron have yeast molecule-shaped sock puppets to help it?"

"...no," Z admitted. "The synthetron doesn't have hands."

"Artoo does," Luke said. "I'm sure he'd be more than happy to play the part of the yeast things."

Artoo really, really wouldn't be.

"If he does, I might forgive him," Z said. "Eventually. But only if the yeast things were really cute."

Also, Z was pretty sure Artoo would not be a fan of this idea.

"They are very, very cute," Luke assured her, making a mental note to head down to the store and buy socks.

Groveling was definitely in order.
