Third Floor Common Room, Monday Evening (7:45 to 8:30 PM FHT)

Apparently Conner was a glutton for punishment, or something, because here he was, in the common room, waiting for Relic Hunters Adventure Squad to start. He couldn't believe he was actually going to willingly subject himself to that theme song again, but it was sort of like a trainwreck. Besides, Bobbi and Lily were hot.

Also, he wanted to see if O'Reilly was going to be any less of a dork this week. Conner was very concerned with upholding the Red Ranger image. Even if they were fictional representations, see.

"Hey, Tori!" Conner said cheerfully. "You're looking a lot better today. Back for more of the cracky goodness ~~because it's so cracky it defies the strikeout~~?"

"I'm feeling a lot better." Tori grinned, then laughed. "I just can't stay away."

"Me neither," Conner said, almost sadly. "I don't know why. Maybe it's just 'cause ~~O'Reilly~~ Bobbi is hot."

Tori totally knew how Conner felt. "It's like an addiction." She added, taking a seat on the couch and then shrugged. "Yeah, it's somewhat puzzling." ~~She was totally not mentioning the fact that O'Reilly was pretty cute and Lily's weapon was awesome.~~

Conner grinned. "I still think their morphing sequence lacks a little style, though. I mean, they've got those cool spinny wheels on them, but they're just sort of . . . it looks more like they're rolling out dough for a pie crust or something."

"You're right about that." Tori nodded in agreement. She then laughed and shook her head in amusement. "Rolling out dough, that's great." It was true, though. "They just spin the wheel and bam, they're morphed. It's missing something, definitely."

"It needs something like . . . I don't know, a snapping sort of motion?" Conner pulled his left arm back sharply toward his hip as he extended his right arm, almost like a basic tae kwon do punch. "I bet the real Overdrive Rangers do that . . . if they really exist."

"That would definitely work. Give it some flair, or something, instead of just standing around, like that." Tori added. "I'm sure they would." She wondered about that. "Maybe Cam or Hayley would know?" If anyone would, it was those two.

"I bet," Conner mused. "I mean, dude. There is no way O'Reilly's dad -- the real guy, I mean -- could've built those Overdrive Trackers and all the technology in six months all by himself. He had to have help."

This, coming from the guy whose mentor had gone from being a high school student to a racecar driver to having a doctorate in paleontology in an absurdly short period of time.

"Oh, no. Definitely not. Someone had to make them for him or at least collaborate." Tori agreed.

She then thought of Cam and how he had the technology to create the morphers and zords, in case something should happen. And hey, it did!

"We should show them how to do it right," Conner said. "O'Reilly's got something going for him, the way he spins it in his hand, you know? That's cool. But the rest of it's just . . . a little off."

He might be slightly jealous of the Tracker-spinning. His morpher was wrist-based. He didn't get to spin it.

"We should." Tori wasn't above doing that. "Yeah, the ways he spins that is very cool." She admitted. It was pretty sweet.

Tori had gotten to spin her morpher, well at least part of it, considering hers was also wrist based. Still, the way the Tracker spun was nifty. "The way their morphers spin is way cooler than how mine did."

"Plus, I bet he looks a lot less suspicious in public, using it as a communicator," Conner added. "Although I always thought more people would look at me funny for talking to my wrist."

"Oh, definitely." Tori remarked. "Yeah, I guess people were either too preoccupied to notice or just disregarded it." She shrugged. That had been her thought, too, but then again, they made sure to be away from people when using their communicators.

"Dude!" Conner blurted out. "Did he just morph in public?"

Tori's jaw had dropped, and she just stared at the television. "I think he did..." She shook her head. "Dude, doesn't he know that's not allowed? You never do that! Especially when you don't check for bystanders first!" Tori facepalmed.

"Stupid public-identity Rangers," grumbled Conner. "And I swear, I've seen that staircase before. I know I have."

"Seriously." Tori shook her head in both disbelief and disapproval. "I thought that staircase looked familiar."

"So does that beach!" Conner blurted out. "I have the exact same beach in Reefside!"

Tori frowned and looked closely at the beach. "That looks like the beach in Blue Bay Harbor, too." She couldn't believe it. "Okay, that is just way too weird."

"I wish Bridge and Z were here. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they said there was someplace in Newtech City just like this too," Conner said. "Freaky."

"Me either." Tori shook her head. Honestly, it would just add to the weirdness of the situation. And she was accustomed to dealing with all kinds of weird. Conner was too, of course. "This is so strange."

Conner nodded and lapsed into silence for a couple of minutes, only to sit up and point at the screen, flailing as Tell did some sort of scanning thing with his Tracker. "Why do they get to have the most useful multifunction morphers in the history of ever?!?"

Tori stifled a laugh at Conner's sudden flailing. She had to admit she was impressed. "Yeah, it's not fair." And to think, Dustin had asked if their morphers had any games on it. That would've been cool, but the Trackers were just... wow.

"I bet it has, like, a four-megapixel video camera built into it too. ~~It does on Boukenger.~~ What is he doing with it, anyway?"
