This was not the sort of chaos that Steerpike had been expecting the rain to bring.

She was currently sulking in the common room, since curiosity to see what havok this odd change would wreak had over come any desire for solitude.

At least, she thought, she had turned into a pretty girl.

"Well it doesn't hurt to be related to some famous person..." Pippi said. "And people inherit private property of course but... Any body could run for... say... Mayor."

"That's a good question..." Pippi mused. "I'm not sure how it works in America exactly. You should probably ask somebody who's American."

"I will have to do that, yes."

"Maybe the American History teacher or the Government teacher." Pippi offered helpfully.

"I have government tomorrow. Perhaps I'll ask then."

"He's a very helpful teacher."

"He does seem to be knowledgeable."
