Sometimes? Pip is just kind of oblivious.

Take, for example, today, where he completely failed to notice the fact that a lot of his male classmates had become female.

Now, this isn't to say that he hadn't noticed the increase girl/guy ratio, and had indeed noted more than one girl he hadn't seen before as being "really hot", but he had yet to put two and two together.

So there he was, cheerfully going through his daily workout, oblivious to the truth, and content in his ignorance.


Someone should really go and break him out of that.

"We're in similar lines of work," Pip said. "And no. The winning side is not always the side to be on. Germany versus Poland, back in the 1930's, for example. Germany won that one."

"Generally I'm on the side of my right to do as I please," Pip responded. "Do you think you were on the right side?"

"I think so," Cassie said. "Rights to do as you please don't work when it can hurt other people."

"Yeah. And who were you fighting against?"

"People who thought that having powers gave us the right to be vigilantes and get away with it," Cassie said. "Selfish people. People who... were my friends."

"Ahhh. Okay. Now we've found the problem," Pip said. "Even if you're on the right side? Fighting your friends is horrific. Did you have to kill anyone?"

Cassie shook her head. "Young Avengers don't kill," she said, in reflex. Then visibly slumped. "If I'm still one of those."
