Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Tori was feeling a tiny bit frustrated at not having found any sign of Katara on her past two searches. It made her feel a little helpless. And she did not like that.

So, in hopes of distracting herself from those thoughts, Tori settled herself in the common room and turned on the television, hoping to find something good on. And, she did! Reruns of Hawaiian surfing competitions were being shown and Tori was more than happy to watch them.

She made herself a bowl of popcorn to eat, while watching the surfers tear up the waves.

Summer wasn't about to go outside and inflict flood conditions on any of her shoes, so she wandered into the common room instead. "Hey Tori."

Tori turned and smiled when she spotted Summer. "Hey Summer! How's it going?"

"I'm dry, so I can't complain," Summer replied. "How are you?"

Tori laughed and nodded. "That's always good." She loved the rain, but some didn't feel that way. "I'm doing well, thanks. Watching surfing, just relaxing." She held up the bowl of popcorn to Summer, wondering if she'd like any.

Summer took some popcorn. "Thanks."

She glanced at the television curiously. "Surfing, huh? Will there be hot shirtless guys?"

"You're welcome."

Tori smirked and nodded. "Hobby of mine." She explained. "Oh, there definitely will be, don't worry." Kelly Slater, for one.

"Well, I think I found my new favorite sport," Summer said, watching the television intently.

Tori giggled and shook her head in amusement. "Awesome." She gawked at the 360 maneuver shown on the television. That? Was amazing.

"This is so much better than water polo," Summer said. "That's, like, the most popular sport at my old school."

"It definitely is." Tori agreed. She then raised an eyebrow, somewhat puzzled. "Really? Water polo?" That was a new one for her. She would've figured football, something like that.

"Yeah, weird, huh?" Summer said. "Though not nearly as weird as this school."

"Definitely." Tori agreed with a nod. "Oh, I don't think anything compares to how weird this place is." She chuckled.

"I bet the water polo team and those surfers would have a blast out there right now," Summer said, snickering a bit.

"Oh, they definitely would." There was no doubt about that. Tori smirked. She had fun out there.

"Oh my god, who is that really hot guy on the tv right now?" Summer asked, forgetting about what they had been talking about. Sometimes she could be shallow.

Tori stifled a laugh. She had to agree with Summer on that one, though. "That is Damien Hobgood. He's one of the recent surfers on the scene. Not as good as Kelly Slater, but he's been holding his own for a while now."

[OOC: I'm about ready to crash. Pick up tomorrow?]

"Yeah, I'm definitely gonna have to watch more of this," Summer said, continuing to stare at the television.

[ooc: No problem! Sleep well!]

Tori grinned brightly, amused. "The guys are pretty good looking and extremely talented."

With everything being way too wet, Teddy being sick, and the room seeming way too lonely and depressive with Katara not there (and no idea where she was), Chad needed to find something to do, or else he might go crazy and slip into emo again. And no one wanted that.

So he went to the common room.

Practising his shapeshifting a little.

By being in the form he took on Thursday.

In his red mariachi jacket.

It was definately too big for this form, but Chad just felt that added to his cuteness.

Tori turned at hearing someone enter the common room and nearly dropped her bowl of popcorn in surprise. "Chad?" But, the guys had all turned back into... well, guys.

Chad lifted a hand in the usual wave-less wave and took a seat. On the couch, instead of his usual sturdy chair because he knew he wouldn't have to worry about it, and he reveled in it. "Hey, Tori."

Tori recovered and gave Chad a small smile. "Shouldn't you be back to... well, being you? In boy form?" She was still a tiny bit shocked.

"I could," Chad shrugged. "But this is more fun right now."

"You could?" Tori suddenly wondered if Chad was similar to Sensei, in that he could change his forms. She smiled a bit. "I guess it would be."

"Shapeshifting stuff," Chad nodded, as if it were a very important matter, indeed, despite the fact that the huge mariachi jacket probably dispelled any chances he had of seeming serious. "Gotta practise."

"Very cool." Tori grinned. "Yeah, definitely. Can't let it go to waste, right?"

"Exactly," Chad nodded again, thinking that this was especially true since his source for such abilities was currently sick and who knows when it would wear off before they got a chance to...

Chad was in danger of drifting off into an entirely different place in his head for a moment before he shook his head and decided to focus on thing else. He loved over to the TV. "Surfing, huh?"

"Yeah. It's a hobby of mine." Tori admitted, with a grin. She loved the sport. "Oh! Kelly Slater's up." She noted excitedly. "He's probably my favorite pro surfer out there."

"Yeah?" Chad tilted his head, his pretty long hair tumbling down. He...didn't know much about surfing at all. "Why's that?"

Tori shrugged, smiling brightly. "I just love the water. And getting to be out on the waves, makes me feel like I'm a part of it." It might have sounded a bit cheesy, but it was the truth. "And Kelly Slater totally owns the waves, when he's out there. That's what I feel like, too."

Chad nodded in understanding. "S'how I feel when I got my guitar..." Maybe that's what he should have done, brought his guitar with him. "'Cept the waves part..." But he figured Tori'd know what he meant.

"You play the guitar, that's awesome." Tori grinned. And she definitely knew what Chad meant.

Chad sort of stared at Tori for a second. Because he was pretty sure everyone would have known that. "You...haven't been to see the band yet?" Even though his voice as a girl was still strangely deep, it couldn't avoid a small feminine piercing of a pout inside of it.

Tori shook her head, a sad smile appearing. "No, something always manages to come up before I get the chance." Like, oh, alien abductions?

"You have to come to the next one," Chad decided; it was hard for him to realize that they'd only had one performance so far this year that Tori would have been around to have see. He had...a few difficulties with the relevance of things like time frames.

"Oh, I will definitely be there." Tori smiled reassuringly. Hell nor high water ~~*snickers*~~ would stop her that time. And no stupid aliens, either.

"You better," Chad said, though it didn't sound as gruff as it would have normally because he wasn't his usual manly and stoic self, and he left it at that, because, even if he would just be joking around, he couldn't ever even start thinking of something to threaten Tori with.

Tori laughed and nodded. "I will, I promise." She would definitely not be missing out on the next performance. No way. And Tori knew Chad wouldn't threaten her ever, jokingly or not because he was a great guy like that.

Chad nodded, and realized that he should probably actually check when the next performance is. Although, really, his whole system of knowing based on when Parker put up posters that day was working pretty well for him so far...

"I'll keep an eye out for the posters." Tori added. "Unless you know before they go up? Let me know. I'll make sure to be there."

[OOC: Oh man, time for bed. I'm exhausted. Pick up tomorrow?]

Definately will have to get on that, Chad decided.

"Sure. Could also check with Nadia or Pippi at practice, 'cause they're in the band, too."

And then a thought struck Chad. He just might have been wondering how he'd look in this form in one of the girls' uniforms...

"Okay, I'll do that." Tori grinned.

"...We're good, too," Chad assured her, in case she had any doubts.

Tori nodded, with a smile. "I have no doubt about that."
