Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Evening

Tori was feeling a tiny bit frustrated at not having found any sign of Katara on her past two searches. It made her feel a little helpless. And she did not like that.

So, in hopes of distracting herself from those thoughts, Tori settled herself in the common room and turned on the television, hoping to find something good on. And, she did! Reruns of Hawaiian surfing competitions were being shown and Tori was more than happy to watch them.

She made herself a bowl of popcorn to eat, while watching the surfers tear up the waves.

"Yeah. It's a hobby of mine." Tori admitted, with a grin. She loved the sport. "Oh! Kelly Slater's up." She noted excitedly. "He's probably my favorite pro surfer out there."

"Yeah?" Chad tilted his head, his pretty long hair tumbling down. He...didn't know much about surfing at all. "Why's that?"

Tori shrugged, smiling brightly. "I just love the water. And getting to be out on the waves, makes me feel like I'm a part of it." It might have sounded a bit cheesy, but it was the truth. "And Kelly Slater totally owns the waves, when he's out there. That's what I feel like, too."

Chad nodded in understanding. "S'how I feel when I got my guitar..." Maybe that's what he should have done, brought his guitar with him. "'Cept the waves part..." But he figured Tori'd know what he meant.

"You play the guitar, that's awesome." Tori grinned. And she definitely knew what Chad meant.

Chad sort of stared at Tori for a second. Because he was pretty sure everyone would have known that. "You...haven't been to see the band yet?" Even though his voice as a girl was still strangely deep, it couldn't avoid a small feminine piercing of a pout inside of it.

Tori shook her head, a sad smile appearing. "No, something always manages to come up before I get the chance." Like, oh, alien abductions?

"You have to come to the next one," Chad decided; it was hard for him to realize that they'd only had one performance so far this year that Tori would have been around to have see. He had...a few difficulties with the relevance of things like time frames.

"Oh, I will definitely be there." Tori smiled reassuringly. Hell nor high water ~~*snickers*~~ would stop her that time. And no stupid aliens, either.

"You better," Chad said, though it didn't sound as gruff as it would have normally because he wasn't his usual manly and stoic self, and he left it at that, because, even if he would just be joking around, he couldn't ever even start thinking of something to threaten Tori with.

Tori laughed and nodded. "I will, I promise." She would definitely not be missing out on the next performance. No way. And Tori knew Chad wouldn't threaten her ever, jokingly or not because he was a great guy like that.

Chad nodded, and realized that he should probably actually check when the next performance is. Although, really, his whole system of knowing based on when Parker put up posters that day was working pretty well for him so far...

"I'll keep an eye out for the posters." Tori added. "Unless you know before they go up? Let me know. I'll make sure to be there."

[OOC: Oh man, time for bed. I'm exhausted. Pick up tomorrow?]

Definately will have to get on that, Chad decided.

"Sure. Could also check with Nadia or Pippi at practice, 'cause they're in the band, too."

And then a thought struck Chad. He just might have been wondering how he'd look in this form in one of the girls' uniforms...

"Okay, I'll do that." Tori grinned.

"...We're good, too," Chad assured her, in case she had any doubts.

Tori nodded, with a smile. "I have no doubt about that."
