Dorm Hallways - Monday after lunch
Annette was crawling up and down the dorm hallways, very slowly, and pouting and mumbling to herself as she went.
"Stupid magnifying glass doesn't work." She banged it on the floor a couple times and continued on.
She sniffed and pushed her hair back out of her face. "Stupid fish throwing fishman!"
Her knees were getting sore so she hurried back to her room and put on her kneepads, then resumed her search in the halls. On her hands and knees. She was also tired of holding the magnifying glass so she strapped it onto her forehead so the glass hung at a mild slant over her left eye.
"If I don't find it, I'm going to hunt down that stinky fish thing and shoot him in his internal gonads. Yes I am."
Shuffle. Shuffle.
"Dammit."

He stopped in his tracks, watching Annette curiously. "Lose something?" he asked.

"Hi, Shawn. And yes. It's tiny. And it's not being very cooperative."

"I lost the matching one yesterday afternoon."

"You're going to help me, Shawn? That is so sweet. Want to borrow my magnifying glass?"
no subject
"My entire room smells of fish now," Shawn grumbled as he patted the carpet. "Shouldn't have opened the window. Next time the whole place floods I'm sealing up my room, possibly with Ed inside so long as it keeps the fishy smell out."

"You know, I have another magnifying glass in my room. Could probably dig up some more kneepads too." She offered helpfully.

"My earring dangit. My tiny little diamond earring that that ugly fish man thing made me loose."

"Did you loose both of them?"
no subject
"Just one, it looks like this," she turned her head and showed Pippi the little diamond stud in her ear.

He was staring at the ground as he walked, and thus saw Annette.
His voice rasped a little. "For what are you looking?"
no subject
"My earring. I lost it. And it's little. And it cost a lot of money." Annette pouted.
