Fourth Floor Girls Bathroom [Wednesday, Afternoon]

Mac quite liked her room not having fluroescent hairdye all over it, so she and Cally collected up a whole bunch of towels and the other required bits and pieces and dumped them by a sink in the bathroom.

After a moment, she started digging through her different colour options. "You wanted orange, right?" Mac asked pulling out a packet and taking a closer look.

[ooc: Mac and Cally are obviously here for hair dying purposes. Otherwise, post is open to anyone who might want to be there.]

Mac smirked a little leaning on the side again. "So you're all hard-ass soldier girl, now?"

"Yeah, if you ignore the fact I flinch when I pull a trigger," Cally said.

"I guess when you're anticipating a big bang, a bit of nerves like that is expected," Mac said. Not that she actually has any experience to draw on whatsoever.

"Need any help?" she offered after a moment.

"I think I got the hair washed," Cally said. "Now I have no idea what happens now."

"Now we vaseline you," Mac said turning to find her pot.

"Dirty?" Cally said out of reflex.

Mac arched an eyebrow, rather amused. "If you find putting vaseline on your face and ears dirty, then yeah."

"And we're doing that because why?" Cally asked.

"Because dye is messy," Mac said simply. "With the vaseline on there you can wipe any splashes off yourself easily. Unless you want orange ears or something... in which case that can be arranged."

"Okay I don't like orange that much," Cally said. "Vaseline me up, please."

Mac grinned, uncapping the pot and spreading some carefully across Cally's hairline. "It just stops the dye getting absorbed by the skin and needing industrial strength toner to remove," she said adding a little to the top of her ears.

She cheerfully dabbed a little on the tip of Cally's nose to finish, for no particular reason.

Cally went a little cross-eyed, looking at the dab of vaseline on her nose. "And that?" she asked.

"Because ending up with an orange nose would be tragic," Mac deadpanned snapping the lid back on.

"Your attention to detail is heartwarming," Cally said with a giggle.

Mac broke into a grin, and shrugged lightly. "I try," she said fishing out some gloves and putting them on.

"Okay, now's the part where you have to keep still." Mac pulled out the bleach at that point. "Where do you want the orange? Streaks, or on the tips... or somewhere else?"

"Streaks," Cally said. "And...maybe I should try and sit or something?"

"Might be a good idea," Mac agreed glancing around to see if there might be a convinient chair around. "This is gonna take a while."

"I could... hop up on the sink counter?" Cally said.

Mac patted the surface beside her cheerfully. "Hop on up, then," she said. "That should work, okay."

"I'm lean and mean, so we won't have to worry about anything," Cally said. "Well, okay, not so lean, and not mean at all, but yeah." She hopped up on the counter next to Mac. "Do your worst. Best. You know what I mean."

"Aye-aye," Mac giggled, carefully selecting a narrow strip of hair. She painted on the bleach in measured strokes. "No going back now."

"Nope," Cally said. "I am fully at your mercy, oh hair dying queen."

"I get to be monarchy just for this?" Mac asked. "I should've done this way earlier, obviously."

"Obviously," Cally said, smiling up at Mac. "So, how many streaks would you suggest?"

Mac started on her second streak as she thought. "Two or three on each side, maybe," she said. "A lots of narrow ones, probably better than less big ones on you."
