It was NCAA basketball playoff season, so Conner had resigned himself to watching basketball on TV. Of course, basketball not being his favorite sport, he was watching the women's tournament.

Why?

Well, at least he could check out some cute girls while he watched a sport he really didn't care about . . .

Mac has just had the day from hell. In her opinion, anyway. Modelling is really not for her.

She found the nearest common room with people, not really caring what was on the TV and flopped bonelessly on a sofa.

Conner was scowling a little at the TV screen. Basketball had too much back-and-forth to give him a decent shot at ogling.

"Bad day?" he asked, glancing up at the next timeout.

"Randomly assigned detention," Mac replied simply. She figured that explained everything, really.

A bunny hopped into the common room, followed by his frantic owner.

"Pancakes!" Summer called, scooping him up into her arms. "Don't wander away like that."

"Your pancakes are running away from you?" Conner looked up and blinked. "Oh. Hey, Summer."

Did he sound just the slightest bit apprehensive around her now? Not at all. Really. Just a trick of the imagination played by the crowd noises coming from the TV.

No, really.

"Hey Conner," Summer greeted. "Yes, Pancakes is running from me. My bunny. Not the breakfast food."

Cassie looked at the bunny. "Aww, it's cute."

And yet, still emo.

"I know," Summer agreed, noticing that the other girl looked emo. "He's also very cuddly."

"Hey everyone," she said, forlornly. And then wandered in and plopped on a couch.

"Hey, Cassie," Conner said just as forlornly. "How come this game's gotta be so fast-paced?"

Alphonse came by, looking to be social, and waved. "Hi people."

"Right now? Not much except giggling at you." Alphonse flopped down at whatever couch spot was open. "I was out most of the morning, so now I want to kick back for a while."

Cassie gave Al a sad wave. "Hi."

"Hey," Summer waved. She looked at the bunny. "Say hi."

Liz hadn't been in the common rooms for ages so she decided to make an effort to leave her room for a bit, "hey," she said quietly.

Katara decided she need hot chocolate. So she was heading to find some when she got distracted by the girls playing with a ball. "Oooh, what are they doing?"

"Hey, Katara!" Conner said cheerfully. "It's basketball. Which is about as boring and easy as it sounds."

Did that make sense? Probably not.

Tori made her way into the common room, wondering what people were up to. She was a tiny bit bored.

Neil wandered out of their room at some point, taking a study break and seeking a snack.

He paused, peered at the TV and made a grouchy noise.

"Couldn't find a movie?"

"Hey, preppie! I haven't really bothered to memorize many channels other than the sports ones," Conner admitted. "So I usually end up on those."
