Dorm computer labs: Saturday mid-morning
Jack had slept in gloriously late. After a cup of coffee, he'd stumbled down to the computer labs clutching another, with the intention of emailing Parker. It seemed safer than phoning, somehow. Not that Parker'd have her phone on anywhere its ring would cause a problem, but hey, in his sleep hungover brain, emailing just seemed to make more sense.

Hey Parker -
How goes the rescue? Any joy finding your missing boy?
Things are here are disturbingly quiet here - no jello creatures, no invasions of wee tiny anythings. It's very odd.

After hitting send he tipped his chair back, smirking as he put his feet on the desk and sipped his coffee. If she was around, that last line would definitely get a response.

No joy on Jake yet-- but we do have a solid lead on the two guys who took him. Which is why this is coming to you from Prague. We're waiting for a nightclub with a contact to open. After we very nicely asked the owner (http://courier-gavin.livejournal.com/36151.html?thread=583479#t583479) about them. We didn't even break any bones. Of our own...
