Fourth floor common room, Sunday morning

Trying to fully get back into the swing of things and stop hanging out in his room all the time, Dean was in the common room kitchen cooking up breakfast. He figured even on April Fool's Day free food would draw people out.

Not that he was pranking anyone just yet -- although the thought had crossed his mind. He'd planned his observance of the day for later. It was more sporting that way.

"It's just...you do remember he looks like you, right?" Sam said. "You can't expect me to go 'Oooooh.'"

"It's not like you haven't seen me without clothes before," Dean pointed out.

"Yeah, but you weren't strutting around showing off your assets," Sam replied.

"Mostly because Dad would've killed me."

"Okay, from that logic, don't you think there might be people who will be less than pleased with Alec if they see him too?"

"Not in the common room. Well, aside from you."

"Clearly, I'm the only one here with any sense of logic," Sam said.

"Or a lack of appreciation of the male form," Dean teased.

"That too," Sam said dryly. "I'm beginning to think I'm the only one in the school who lacks that."

"Maybe you just need to have more of an open mind," Dean suggested.

"Or maybe people could just keep all their clothes on," Sam replied.

"Yeah, because random shirtlessness and all isn't a staple here or anything."

"This is more than just shirtlessness!" Sam insisted. "And just because the shirtlessness is a staple, that doesn't make it right."

"If Jaye hears you say that, she might revoke your Seahorse status," Dean warned.

"I think she's always been prepared to do that, due to my lack of interest in participating in 'mandatory' shirtlessness, and general dislike of boykissy," Sam pointed out.

"You really do need to loosen up some, Sammy," Dean advised him. "It's not like you have anything to be embarrassed over."

Sam sighed. "I'm not embarrassed. I'm horrified and kind of traumatized. There's a difference."

"..and I'm back to wondering if I should be offended."

"I didn't mean that as an insult against your fine masculine form," Sam insisted. "I'd feel the same if pretty much anyone was wandering around looking like that."

Sam's eyes widened. "Dude, that would be an entirely separate story. I think I'd be completely freaking out, and trying to usher her back to our room before anyone else could see her."
