Second Floor Common Room - Tuesday Evening

Kawalsky headed to the common room in search of snack food. He'd exhausted his own supply and didn't really feel like walking down to town to pick up some more. The common room was much closer.

As he stepped across the door threshold, he tried to put his foot down on the floor and found he couldn't. He poked the air and it seemed fine, but when he stepped fully into the room, there was no gravity to be had.

With a frown, he grabbed the door frame and tried to push himself off, floating through the air.

Sadly, the snacks were going to be more difficult to reach than he'd expected.

Tannim stepped into the common room, intending to make a dinner of Pop-Tarts. He was rather surprised to discover his feet no longer touching the floor.

Dawn decided she got her exercise for the day by wandering down a floor to lounge in a different common room.

Hey, it was a theory.

She took one step inside, though, and fell flat on her face when her foot didn't touch the ground. Of course, neither did any other part of her body when she should have landed, so now she was just hovering over the ground. "Um, hi?"

Alanna stopped before walking into the common room and stared. "Half of me is stuck on wtf and the other half has moved on to 'that looks awesome'." She called out.

"Yeah, there's a thing. I think someone's screwing around."

Jaye's bored enough to head to the common room. She's also midsentence when gravity goes away, so she sounds like "Hey, what are you watchEEEEEEEEEE."

Tannim jumped up and nearly crashed his head on the ceiling. He put his hands against the ceiling grid and pushed himself down enough to have some head room. "Wow," he said. "This is awesome."

Marty started walking into the second floor common room to get some leftover Thai food from last night when he saw everyone floating.

And then realized he was floating.

"Well this is different," Marty said pushing off the couch to go to the fridge.

"This is your fault, isn't it Tyler," Marty said from somewhere near the ceiling. "Admit it."

"You'll believe a man can fly," Marty said floating by. "Join the fun."

Alanna put Faithful in the room first. He glared and started scrambling for purchase on the air. "Okay, that's funny."

Jaye is now trying to grab onto an armchair so she doesn't float away. "Nuh uh! Last time I ended up on the ceiling, I had to dance to do it."

"Think if I try swimming I'll look like a goldfish?" asks Jaye, still holding onto a chair.

"I dunno, how's your fishface?" Dawn asked, because naturally that was the important part.

Jaye totally shows her, waiting for a verdict.

Dawn considered. "I think you'll look very goldfishy."

"But what if I can't get down from the ceiling?" she asks, looking up at it. And rolling up towards it. Good thing she's holding onto something.

"You have a really good excuse to miss class tomorrow?" she suggested, pushing off with one foot and sending herself into a very strange lopsided float-thing.

"There's no Tuna in Zero G," Marty told Faithful.

"You must have done something," Marty said crossing his arms and looking at Jaye upside down. "Who'd you tick off?"

"I don't think I have classes tomorrow," she says, and loses hold finally. At which point she kind of floats off. "...Wait, no, I do."

"How do I know this isn't your fault?"

Kawalsky was hanging upside down. "Feels kinda weird."

"See?" Dawn was now mostly upright and headed towards the ceiling, "Just tell them you're very sorry, but you couldn't make it because you were stuck to the ceiling of the common room and couldn't get down." She thought for a second, "Or is that not enough to get you out of class around here?"

"Hey," Kawalsky said, hanging upside down. "You're not going to puke or anything are you?"
