Buffy got to the campgrounds early, hauling two huge bags with her. She put them down by the stones of the central camp fire. She looked at it. Firewood. She needed lots of it. She headed off to gather fallen branches and similar.

Slowly everything got set up. There were camping tables with plates, cups and sticks for grilling things with. There were tables with hot dogs, peeps and other grillable things, and a separate table for drinks (so far non-alcoholic).

She set her cd-player on a flat rock, and while it looked tiny and insignificant outdoors, it would at least have music. Hopefully the random showers would stop by night fall, she thought and covered everything with plastic.

Then she walked back to the school and grabbed every umbrella and blanket she could get her hands on, and walked back, dumping everything by one of the tables. With her hands on her hips she regarded everything in satisfaction. Yes. Totally Not Prom was on!

"Nice catch," Chad complimented, genuinely impressed, because, if he'd have tried that, he'd probably manage to actually poke his eye out with the marshmallow and have to go to Pip for advice on eyepatch fashion as well as pants.

"I practice."

"....Really?" Chad was feeling all too amused at the picture in his mind's eye of Jude, decked out like as if ready for a hard, extreme workout in the gym, lounging back, and tossing popcorn into his mouth to catch it. Which was probably all too true to life, really.

"Totally. What do you think I did when I couldn't skateboard?" he chuckled, twirling a stick around his fingers.

"Good point," Chad said, snatching up a marshmallow and briefly considering giving it a try, but changing his mind at the last moment. "Still haven't gotten a chance to see you skate much," he pointed out.

"Ground's been too damp lately or it's been snowing or something so I'm like totally out of practice. When I start training again I'll let you know."

"Good," Chad nodded in acceptance to this proposal.

Jude eyed him foot to head. "You totally have to let me jump you."
