Totally Not Prom! Campgrounds, Saturday Afternoon to Night

Buffy got to the campgrounds early, hauling two huge bags with her. She put them down by the stones of the central camp fire. She looked at it. Firewood. She needed lots of it. She headed off to gather fallen branches and similar.

Slowly everything got set up. There were camping tables with plates, cups and sticks for grilling things with. There were tables with hot dogs, peeps and other grillable things, and a separate table for drinks (so far non-alcoholic).

She set her cd-player on a flat rock, and while it looked tiny and insignificant outdoors, it would at least have music. Hopefully the random showers would stop by night fall, she thought and covered everything with plastic.

Then she walked back to the school and grabbed every umbrella and blanket she could get her hands on, and walked back, dumping everything by one of the tables. With her hands on her hips she regarded everything in satisfaction. Yes. Totally Not Prom was on!

ooc: wait for ocd is up! Come party!
eta: it was always in dorms. yup. *shifty*

"Awww, that's too bad," Katara said, also sadly. "But still! There's marshmellows and chocolate and campfires and all sorts of fun!"

She was still possibly way way too hyper from the girly primping earlier.

Chad noticed. And thought it was adorable. "Definately pretty cool," he agreed with her.

"Better than Prom," she said staunchly.

...She didn't actually believe that. But hey, she could tell herself it was true.

Chad was so glad Katara understood. "Totally," he nodded. "I like the more casual feel." And the more comfortable clothes.

"But no dancing," she said. "That's the only problem."

"Dont' think anyone would mind if you started dancing," Chad offered. He himself was no dancer, but he knew he would have no complaints if Katara felt so inclined.
