The Pool, Tuesday Morning

Billy stretched a bit, then removed his artificial leg, leaning it against the wall. Carefully hopping the short distance to the water, he slipped in and began to swim.

ooc: for a certain conniving bastard, but open as such things tend to be.

"Indeed." Billy leaned forward to steal a kiss. ~~Eddie Izzard routine, sorry~~

Can't steal it. IT's given freely. Ami anchored herself by putting her arms around Billy's neck, and kissed him back.

Billy leaned back against the wall of the pool, and slid his arms around her waist, enjoying the smooches in the pool.

The only thing that could have made it better was if they were in the ocean and there were waves. But this was nice too.

Soon enough the weather would be consistently good for that. Billy sighed happily and tightened his embrace slightly.

Ami leaned into the tightening embrace and with a grin wrapped her legs around Billy's waist, knowing that the water made her much much lighter.

Billy swallowed at that move, and his smile widened. He kissed her again, then kissed her neck.

Hey it was close, and close was good, right? Right. Ami tilted her head, giving him much easier access to her neck, meanwhile letting go with one hand and using it to run her fingers through Billy's hair and down his nieck,as far as she could reach form this angle.

Yes it was very good. He continued to kiss her neck, and stroked her back with one hand.

Ami wiggled slightly to adjust her position, and moved her head so as to be able to nibble on Billy's earlobe.

"Mmm," Billy murmered, and at that moment he opened his eyes, and managed to have his gaze fall on the spot where his leg was supposed to be. It didn't register right away that it wasn't there anymore.

Ami was discovering that she was fond of earlobes. And necks. and nibbling.

And Billy was pleased to have helped her discover this. He really was. He tried not to be embarresed at just how much he was and that she might notice ~~dirty~~.

Then his brain managed a quick gasp of air, and without releasing his hold on her, verbally registered what he'd seen.

"Uh oh."

Ami did notice. And marveled at the fairly novel realizattion that she had contributed to the fact that he was so pleased she could notice.

And startled by his words. "Uh oh?" she asked instantly stopping what she was doing.

"I'm pretty sure I left my prosthetic leaning against the wall, right about there." he pointed.

Ami unwrapped herself from Billy and peered at the wall. "It's not there. Want me to go look?"

"Yeah." he sighed. "Thanks. "I'll look too. Maybe it fell and rolled somewhere."

"Maybe." Ami pulled herself out of the water. Stupid timing. She walked around, looking for the prosthetic leg. "I don't see it..."

"Aw man." he groaned and hauled himself from the pool, laying flat on the floor for a different eye level view. He also didn't see it. "What the hell?!"

Of all the times for this to happen!

Ami sat down next to him. "Um, it doesn't walk on it's own does it?"

"Not normally. I guess around here you can't really rule anything out, but I'm afraid I'm still thinking someone might've taken it."

"Who would do that?" Ami asked horrified. Ever practical though she had to ask "Do you have a spare?"

"I've got a plastic peg leg that John made me." he said. "It's up in my room."

"I can go get it...?" Ami offered, tentatively. SHe had no idea if that was an appropriate sort of thing to say.

Billy didn't relish trying those stairs with only one leg, even though he'd managed before.

"Yeah sure." he agreed gratefully. "The key's over with my towel."
