5th floor Common room, Saturday morning
River sat perched on the couch. Not only wasn't Simon around, there was also a lack of kitchen staff to make her breakfast. She'd had to improvise, which had resulted in cookies and ice cream. That wasn't too bad although perhaps a little low on nutritional value and high on sugar.
There was also a lack of books, which bothered her even more. The art books were interesting, and her roommates fashion magazines did give her some insight into cultural values, but overall, River was bored. And also, why did she have a roommate? Her parents could afford to give her a single room. Not that she minded the other girl - and she'd been asleep - but other girls usually minded her. And boys. Most kida her age did, in fact.
She had pulled out her notebook and was scribbling something resembling a plan for the day.
[Open, of course.]

He pulled out the eggs and a jug of milk and put both on the counter. "I've seen my mum do it."

Rummaging yielded a preposterously large frying pan. "Can I have some of your cereal?"

His attempts at breaking eggs into the pan ended up with a fair bit of shell joining the eggs.

"Oh. No, Salmon-nilly makes you all sick. Like this, bleargh!" And Nadia went for the cute but horribly disgusting tactic that only small children can do, and dribbled half-chewed sugar bombs down her chin.

"Let me try the salmon-nilly." Walter grabbed a spoon and took a bite of sugar bombs.
"Yech! Salmon-nilly!" He mirrored her chewed food dribble. "Now we're going to diiiiiiieeeee!"

Telling girls they were pretty ended up in kisses.

Walter looked around for someone to answer the question for him.
No such luck.
"You'll be pretty to other salmon-nilly zombies?"

She had a point.
And he had a big pan full of burning eggs.
