Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning

It was with great seriousness that Zachary Uriah Addy made his way to the common room, dragging a cart piled almost as high as he was with books and pieces of lab equipment behind him.

While most kids believed the weekend was a time for cartoons, he knew it was also a time for SCIENCE!

After turning on the television, Zack sat next to his cart, opened a book and began to assemble...something...

[Open as common rooms are.]

Rive beamed. "Thank you. I really appreciate that. If my brother was here I'd steal his medical experiment kit and share it with you," River replied. "Oh, and I found some books," she added, pointing at the astrophysics books that she'd brought with her.

River nodded. "My brother wants to be a doctor," she said. "He has skeleton models. I borrow them sometimes. And all the bones is like a big family connected to each other, with names, and I pretend they communicate through the neural system." She looked quite enthusiastic.

"Complicated books," she agreed. "But I like physics. And spaceships."

"I read a book on spaceships accidents once," River said. "An impressive amount of things can go wrong. And then boom." She gestured with her arms to illustrate an explosion. "You like dancing too? It's like flying." She gestured at the thing in front of them. "Could make it dance, with the right programming."

That made River smile happily. "We can program it to do that." Then her shoulders slumped a little. "Don't know how to make it improvise though.

River totally got that as stimuli. "Physical or optical stimuli? Do we have an optical sensor? Or could we make it do a piruette of someone hits it?"

Lasers were always interesting. "It could cut holes in doors with the laser beam," she suggested. "We could program it to go dancing in people's rooms uninvited." She gave a wide smile.

"Exactly! Surprise is an important tactic. Even in dancing."
