Thursday Morning: 2nd Floor Common Room

Jamie was up early and had taken over the second floor common room today. He had thoughtfully sent a dupe out to pick up a ton of baked goods from J'GOB and also had take out containers of coffee from The Perk. (Because let's face it the best coffee is the coffee someone else makes)

He was currently kicking his feet up on the couch as he waited for the DVD Menu of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Ambush of the Murderous Rutabagas to start.

"Man there are a lot of trailers on this thing."

Open like a common room should be.

When Aeryn heads to the common room, her first question is, "And this is what?"

Jamie sighed. "Aeryn if you are going to spend any time on this planet you need to be familiar with the cultural milestone that is Ambush of the Murderous Rutabagas."

Then he paused for a second.

"It's a documentary. Sit. Watch. Enjoy."

She sits, still frowning. "What's a rutabega?"

"It's like a turnip," Jamie explained. "And when mutated can be very dangerous when cornered."

He snickered as the woman in the kitchen died horribly.

"So you all ready for graduation?"

"I suppose," she says with a shrug. What is it with Jamie and food products? "Not really much to be done."

"Yeah. I guess not. Oh, wait. I have something for you."

Jamie bounced his foot off the table intentionally creating a duplicate.

"Go get the thing," he ordered the dupe.

"Did you hear that I'm leaving for the summer?" he asked.

Cassie wandered down the hall into the common room. "Hey Jamie," she greeted, before sitting down.

"Hey Cass," Jamie said with a wave. "What's up?"

"I cut a deal with the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D so I don't have to join up with the initiative over the summer," Cassie said. "So I get to stick around."

Jamie frowned a little at that. "That's pretty cool. Wish I could say the same. I'm heading home for the summer."

"Oh, but at least you have friends and teammates to be going to, right?" Cassie said.

"Yeah. But there's the original me there so when someone says 'Jamie?' we both go 'Yes?' at the same time and it gets really grating after a while," Jamie said grumpily. "Plus they don't have yodeling closets and strange tumbleweeds that show up out of no where."

"Yeah," Cassie said. "This place does have its... unique charms."

"Not to mention the best muffins," Jamie said as he swiped one from the counter. "I've been to some different place throughout the world but J'GOB is this best."

"You know," Cassie said. "I've never had one of their muffins."

Jamie looked at Cassie like she was insane. "Are you allergic to gluten or something?"

"No, I just sort of haven't tried 'em yet?" Cassie said. "Can I snag one?"

"Help yourself," Jamie said with his mouth full. "They're for everyone."

Cassie grabbed a muffin, blueberry to be specific. She nibbled a bit. "So, just visiting the old team?"

"More like 'go home or face the consequences'," Jamie grumbled. "The original me is getting a little uptight about his lack of control over his duplicates. It was either go home where he can keep an eye on me or get absorbed."

Free food? Bad movies?

Faster than you could shout "SCORE!!!", Sokka was on the couch, munching on baked good and sipping coffee.

"This is AWESOME!!!"

"Yeeeikes," Cassie said. "Wait... you're a dupe?"

Jamie grinned. "What's up dude?"

"Yep. Kind of got shrunk in the wash," Jamie explained. "Long story that involves an alternate universe, Hank McCoy and some genetic manipulation."

"Fun times," Cassie said. "At least it didn't involve time travel."
