Thursday Morning: 2nd Floor Common Room

Jamie was up early and had taken over the second floor common room today. He had thoughtfully sent a dupe out to pick up a ton of baked goods from J'GOB and also had take out containers of coffee from The Perk. (Because let's face it the best coffee is the coffee someone else makes)

He was currently kicking his feet up on the couch as he waited for the DVD Menu of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Ambush of the Murderous Rutabagas to start.

"Man there are a lot of trailers on this thing."

Open like a common room should be.

Free food? Bad movies?

Faster than you could shout "SCORE!!!", Sokka was on the couch, munching on baked good and sipping coffee.

"This is AWESOME!!!"

Jamie grinned. "What's up dude?"

"Well, I'm having a super-awesome morning, thanks to you. Other than that... Eh, not much." Sokka grinned and waved a doughnut at him. "What's up with you?"

"You're welcome," Jamie said with a half salute. "I'm kind of just hanging out and avoiding semblance of packing."

Sokka was alarmed. "Packing?!?!? We have to pack? I thought we got to stay here all summer? I'm not packed!!!"

Pause. Breathe. Doughnut. MMMmmmmm....

Oh, and MOVIE.

"Dude, these special effects are HIDEOUS."

"Hideously awesome! And don't worry about packing that's just me," Jamie said shaking his head. "I'm being deported for the summer."

"DEPORTED??? What for?"

Sokka cocked his head at Jamie. "...Did you piss off Hades? Don't piss off Hades. He's not a nice guy."

"My... um... big brother is making me go home for the summer," Jamie explained. "He's got control issues."

"Plus Hades is a pussycat. Just roast some marshmellows on his flaming head and give him a s'more."

"Dude, that sucks. I mean, family's family, and that's important, but... Can't you appeal to, like, your parents or something, if you don't want to leave?"

Sokka raised an eyebrow at Jamie. "Maybe that works for you, but Hades really doesn't like me."

"Oh, my parents died a long time ago and the alternative was... bad," Jamie said shaking his head. "And dude, nobody on the faculty staff likes me. Rumor has it there's a dartboard with my picture on it in the teacher's lounge."

"DUUUUUUUUDE, really???" Sokka's eyes lit up. "I mean, about the dartboard, not the other stuff. I mean, the other things suck, and I'm really, really sorry. But... your face? On their dartboard? YOU ROCK!"

"Yes," Jamie said with mock-pride. "I'm an inspiration to everyone. I'm a Bette Midler song that inspires you yet you can't admit you like in public."
