Jackalope campfire, Tuesday evening

After chatting with his brother and Dawn, Dean wandered back over to his own cabin, grabbed a soda and some campfire friendly food and settled down outside intent on just kicking back and relaxing.

"You're new," she says without preamble. "I'm Carmela Rodriguez. It's nice to meet you."

"I am new," he replied. "I'm John Sheppard, and it's my pleasure to meet you, Carmela." He smiled brightly.

Carmela's grin grows a little wider. "So, is this your cabin, or are you just a wanderer attracted by the promise of free junk food?" And attractive scenery, but she doesn't add that part.

"I am a Jackalope resident, yes. I assume that means you are a wanderer looking for some food? Or are you one of the members of the better half of Jackalope that I've not yet met?" John inquired, leaning forward in his chair toward Carmela.

"I'm a wanderer, and I *was* looking for my friend Ronan who *is* a resident but instead I found junk food. And you." Carmela adds with a wink.

"Ahh, a friend of my roomie with the magical wall. Perhaps we can drag him out to socialize together sometime," John said, conspiratorially.

"He put up a wall?" Carmela says, rolling her eyes. "Why am I not surprised? He could use the practice when it comes to socialisation."

"He definitely needs some encouragement. I have plans to help him." John smiled deviously.

"Oooh, plans?" Carmela perks up.

"Well. If you're at all interested in a co-conspirator..." Carmela trails off. "Between the two of us he wouldn't stand a chance."

"I'd like that," John thought she'd be a real help with his crabby roomie.

He leaned in some more, "The first thing we have to do is find him."

"I'd wager a guess that he hasn't emerged from behind that stupid spell of his except for workshops," Carmela says.

"As far as I can tell, you would be correct," John said. "I'm hoping to catch him off guard one of these days and drag him into town. Physically, if necessary."
