Jackalope campfire, Tuesday evening

After chatting with his brother and Dawn, Dean wandered back over to his own cabin, grabbed a soda and some campfire friendly food and settled down outside intent on just kicking back and relaxing.

A satisfied smile swept over Cordelia's face. She let the lock of hair go and reached out to touch John's knee. "I bet you know where all the nice places are around here," she said softly, thinking how nice John would look in a tuxedo.

John was dying: She was hot and touching him. He attempted to compose himself. "Uh, I don't know about that. I've only wandered around town a little today. I hear Caritas is a cool place." Though you probably aren't interested in karaoke or zombies... he added mentally.

Cordelia smiled as John stammered. "Is this your first time, too? I mean, here at Fandom, of course. Tell me more about this Caritas place. Is it, like, a club?"

John relaxed a little, "Yeah, I'm new to Fandom. I heard Caritas has a live zombie band and karaoke every night, in addition to a bar. We could go check it out sometime, if you're interested." John couldn't believe he'd just kind of asked her out. This was not natural for him at all!

Yes! Cordelia thought excitedly. Outwardly, she continued to smile warmly at John, and listened intently. "So we're Fandom virgins together," she said slyly, with a laugh. "A zombie band? Karaoke? Sounds like another night in Sunnydale. I think I'd be very interested in checking it out. With you."

Wow, that was easy, John thought happily. He returned her incredibly cute smile and said, "Should the Fandom virgins head over to Caritas on Thursday evening?"

He has really pretty eyes, Cordelia thought to herself while he spoke, her legs crossed, chin propped up in her hand as they smiled at one another. "Thursday evening sounds like a great time to lose our Fandom virginty." She stood up and stretched. "I think I'm going to turn in. I have Women's Studies tomorrow."

"That's one class I wish I was signed up for. Have a great night, Cordelia. It was a pleasure talking to you." John tried that smoldering thing again.

Cordelia arched an eyebrow. "You wish you were signed up for Women's Studies? Why? It's like a real class. I was hoping for fun at summer camp." She shook her head, as if to shake out the serious thoughts she was having. With a hand on her hip, she looked down into John's brown eyes. "It was certainly a pleasure talking to you. I guess I'll see you in the morning, roomie."

She flashed him another smile, not really wanting to walk away.

"Well, you're a woman, so I'd get to study you, wouldn't I?" John smirked. "See you around, Cordelia."

"Classic," Cordelia said as she walked away. She paused, looking over her shoulder. "I'm not a workshop, John. I'm a Masters Program." She gave him a wink before closing the cabin door behind her.
