Basilisk Campfire - Saturday Late Afternoon

Haku had dug into his pack and pulled out his camping pot and set it over the fire to cook. He had pickedhandwavy picked up some other things at the store to make his own version of his own version of stew. It was nice to be able to be in an area where he could actually buy the supplies for it.

He sat back and let the food cook, braiding back his long hair and adjusting his pink kimono as he settled down by the fire. Yes, he had made enough to share and it smelled really good.

Chad emerged from the cabin with his guitar to get ready to do campfire music providing duty when the scent in the air caught his attention and he noticed Haku there and nodded. "What're you making?" he asked, because it smelled great...

"Nikujaga," he smiled and tucked a stray hair back behind his ear. "It's a kind of beef and potatoe stew I made at home all the time. You're welcome to have some."

He pulled back the sleeves of the robe and took off the lid for Chad ot help himself.

Chad was definitely not one to refuse food made by a pretty girl that kind of reminded him of home, anyway. Well, one home. "Thanks," he said, with a small smile, as he slung the guitar a little out of the way and got himself some.

"I made it for everyone," he nodded and put the lid back on when Chad had gotten some and unticked his sleeve. "I hope it tastes all right, they didn't have all the same spices at the store."

"I thought they had everything at Turtle & Canary, or whatever it's called now," Chad mused idly before digging into the food.

"They certianly do seem to!" Haku laughed, holding his hand up infront of his mouth. "They probably just call it something different here. It didn't seem like it would be a good idea to open all the spices just to figure out what they were."

Teddy wandered out of the cabin to find Haku cooking. He took a deep breath before waving cheerfully. Maybe the hug was forgotten?

Haku balked slightly at first seeing Teddy, but smiled and nodded back with a little bit of a blush. "Hello Teddy."

He felt bad about just suddenly running off on Teddy like that, but the hug had surprised him a lot.

Blushing. So not a good sign that the hugging was forgotten.

"What are you making," he asked, trying for some friendly conversation.

"Stew," Haku smiled and sat back in the chair, not looking at Teddy, but concentrating very hard on the fire. "You're welcome to have some."

Teddy grabbed himself a bowl, settling down in a chair nearish to Haku's.

"I'm sorry about yesterday," He said, poking at his stew.

Haku glanced up at Teddy and blushed with a small smile. "I am too," he said softly. "I didn't mean to react that way, I just.. I'm not used to being hugged."

"Hi!" Robin waved. "I'm Robin, what's your name?"

Teddy blinked down at the little frog. "I'm Teddy."

Of course the frog was new. Teddy was certain he would have heard about him before this if he wasn't.

"No, I've been here since last fall."

Yup. Still puzzled over the frog thing.

Robin had his banjo slung across his back as he wandered about, looking for a good place to play.

That was....Chad was almost too overcome with cuteness to say anything more than a grunt and lifting up his guitar as an invitation.

Because he absolutely had to jam with a frog with a banjo.

Oooh! That guy was as big as Sweetums! And he had a guitar! Sweet! Robin hurried over. "Hi! I'm Robin."

"M'Chad," he responded, and nodded toward the little frog guy's banjo. "We should so totally jam."

"Pleased to meet you Chad." Robin nodded. "Yeah we really should! What kind of music do you like to play?"

"Hello Robin!" Haku smiled blightly at his room mate. "How are you settling in?"

"Hi Haku." Robin replied, hopping up on a stump. "I'm having a great time! How about you?"

"I am too," Haku nodded eagarly and pushed his braid back off of his shoulder. "Would you like something to eat?"
