His skills were getting rusty, Haku could tell as he went through his movements, calling up his ice mirrors and trying to shatter each one with a single hit from his throwing needles.

So far he'd only managed to break four out of fifteen.

He was very disappointed in himself and it was obvious to him that he wouldn't be able to take on a real fight at this rate.

After putting off homework as long as possible, Ron figured he could push it even further by investigating the common room and trying to figure out this Tee-Vee thing he'd heard about.

After finding the remote and smashing several buttons, Ron managed to turn on the TV to find two sportscasters on.

"Hi. I'm Casey McCall and this is Dan Rydell. Welcome to Sports Night."

Ron blinked at the Tee-Vee. "Well, it's nice to meet you Dan and Casey. I'm Ron."

"Tonight on Sports Night we're going to take a look back at the US Open."

"Would you mind giving an update on England's Quidditch teams?" Ron asked politely. "I don't get the Daily Prophet here and-"

"And then later we'll go over the scores from today's college football games," the Tee-Vee continued.

"Could you at least give me the standing for the Chudley Cannons?" Ron begged.

"But first a word from our sponsor."

"Bloody hell, can't you hear me?"

Cassandra rather liked her new roommate. Meg was a genuinely nice person, and friendly in a way that reminded Cass of someone from another life.

But Cass was used to being alone. Especially at night. Even more especially during those few hours of sleep she allows herself. So after lying in the dark for a while, she had slipped out of the room and made her way up to the roof. It was quiet here, and she could be alone for a bit. Maybe even get some sleep.

After spending a few minutes staring out over the grounds, she begin stretching. Cassandra hadn't really had much chance to practice over the previous week, and up here no one would bother her.

ooc: Open. Someone should totally bother her.

Ahh, yes, the roof. Excellent place to paint; even better place to think and try to work things out for A.J. It was always where he went at Empire, after all, and, while there wasn't a big neon sign to tinker with, there was an excellent view. Last night had ended...pretty well, and Superhero class was a fun distraction, and then A.J. tried to work a bit on a project, but couldn't focus. He had to try to figure out this whole Troy thing.

But the more he thought about it, the more impossible it seemed. Because while he liked what he had with Troy a lot, he didn't think he really wanted the something more that Troy seemed to want. In fact, the only person he could even begin to imagine something like that with was Corey...

But what could he tell Troy? Nothing, apparently, that A.J. wasn't going to say to himself first, because he was sitting there, talking to himself as he tried to figure it out.

"I still need more time, Troy," he tried, then grunted, shaking his head. "Yeah, right, that's only going to work for so..." He tried again. "Okay, so, Troy." He steeled himself to the imaginary image in front of him of his roommate. "You know, like, when they come out with a new flavor of ice cream, and you really like that new flavor, but there's an old classic that you can't stop going back to..."

"Ice cream? What the hell is my fixation with ice cream? Okay, no ice cream. Or maybe...because it's more like you just need time before the new flavor can be like the class-- Ugh, no, that's stupid. So maybe..."

"Paintings. Like modern art versus classical...yeah, there we go..."

A.J. gave another disgusted grunt. "That's stupid, too. God...maybe..."

He was going to be at this for a while probably...

Okay, so he'd managed to get his hands on some new clothes on the mainland, but trousers were still a matter of principle to Jeff. Having suspected Nana of hiding said item of clothing up on the roof for some time now, he returned to the scene of the crime to find them.

Together with Nana, of course. He scolded her every five minutes while he searched.

Being a dog, she had no idea why she was being punished, so she gave him the puppy eyes instead and wagged her tail a lot.

The lights were on, but the TV and stereo were off. From the doorway, it might appear as if the room was unnocupied. But further investigation would reveal a small green fuzzy ball on the couch. Or, rather a small green fuzzy frog curled into a fetal ball on the couch.

After spending time with Jack which is still in play zomg Johnny took himself and all the stuff needed for a night of camping out, to the common room on his floor. He hoped Lana didn't forget but in the off chance she did, Johnny would hunt her down, toss her over his shoulder, and haul her to the common room so he could keep an eye on her. There would be no nightmares on  his watch.

There were two sleeping bags, a couple pillows, blankets, a couple bags of moddable snack foods, and various dvd's from horror to action thriller. Johnny tossed in a Supercross dvd too just in case Lana fell asleep early.

So now all he needed was the chick that was not his. How cool was that?

(Common room is open, and yes, Johnny and Lana will be camping out for the night.)

Raphael was finally awake and in the common room. He supposed he'd have to adjust his schedule to start doing the whole 'going to class' thing again, but who really cared for now? He certainly didn't. If Namine or Donnie needed him they could knock, same with anyone else, and Mikey was always with him.

Speaking of which, Little Mikey was on his shoulder, clinging as Raphael positively taunted him with cereal. It wasn't that he hadn't been fed, simply that he was sure the cereal was much more tasty than what he'd been given. The tiny turtle made a squeaky hiss of protest, butting against Raph's neck.

Raph's eyes rolled over to his brother. "What? I fed you, you can't have my cereal. One sugar bomb is as big as your head, dude." He turned his attention back to the TV. "What the hell is this, anyway? 'Reptar: On Ice'? Whatever." Really, he was only half paying attention in the first place. "Looks like something you'd get into, Mikey."

He continued to ignore Mikey's protests as the program began to go into a chant of "Reptar, Reptar! Gotta find that Reptar!"

[OOC: Open, of course. Grumbly Raph as always :3]

After visiting the big picnic, and picking out most of the new people by sight, Evie retired back to the dorms and settled into the lobby couch to people-watch. With a book. Or possibly, five.

Surprisingly, Johnny was in a pretty good mood tonight. His day went rather well despite yesterday and his run in with Dick. That sucked and he knew he should apologize. He would just do it later when he was feeling like it.

Turtle though, man that girl just needed a good turn over his knee and whacked a couple good times on her ass. She was far too uppity for her own good and his shin was sporting an awesome sized bruise because of it.

Right now he leaned down in front if the TV, trying to get the fuzziness of it to go away. He popped the top with his hand. "Come on!"

Tori hadn't really done much today, except show up to the workshops she was TAing for. So she was now up on the roof, keeping an eye on the storm that was approaching.

It looked like rain and she wouldn't mind being caught in it.

Haku sat out by the campfire, tossing a ball of water back and forth in his hands as he watched the flames dance over the wood. The real trick would be if he could make another and juggle then.

He had some popcorn to make, but didn't feel like breaking into it just yet, at least not until there was someone else who wanted some.

...It was bound to happen again.

After all, who was Chad to deprive others of the beauty that was him? He'd upped the ante since his last excursion like this on the rooftops, even, by adding the sheer pleasure that was his soulful music.

Returning from work, Chad found himself sitting in front of the Basilisk campfire, wearing nothing more than his guitar and tattoos, strumming idly and singing in Spanish.

He wasn't even wearing his bandage. Every part of him was glorious, even his scars.

Come. Bask in the greatness of teh Chad.

Johnny didn't know that a snowflake landing on his head this morning, was the reason behind his thought process for today.

Because Johnny, totally thought he was perfect.

Still super shiny from Arts and Crafts, oh, and shirtless too, Johnny strutted out to the campfire and slouched lazily in a lounge chair. But his slouching was utterly perfection. The glitter reflected the sun and light and made him sparkle and glow like a ... sparkling and glowing thing.

(it is open to anyone, yes.)

Haku had dug into his pack and pulled out his camping pot and set it over the fire to cook. He had pickedhandwavy picked up some other things at the store to make his own version of his own version of stew. It was nice to be able to be in an area where he could actually buy the supplies for it.

He sat back and let the food cook, braiding back his long hair and adjusting his pink kimono as he settled down by the fire. Yes, he had made enough to share and it smelled really good.

[Open for all! It is a campfire. Parts of Teddy and Haku convo NFB please.]

So much packing and unpacking today! after visiting his little sister and getting his and Chad's alcove set up, Teddy went to go sit out by the campfire and maybe meet his cabinmates.

He was currently reading one of his comics to pass the time. Had to get through all those new comics he got at that con over on the mainland.

Johnny spent the afternoon putting most of his stuff away, the rest he spent lazily sprawling on his bed. What? Unpacking was tiring work.

Now though, he wanted to have a little fun around the campfire. And since theirs didn't seem to be lit yet, he took the opportunity to blast a few fire rays at it and set it to burning quickly.

Then, pulling up a lounge chair, he sat down, slouching a bit and stretched his long legs out in front of him. "This is the life. Now if I just had a beer."
