beside the main campfire, late saturday evening
It's late Saturday evening, and Roxas is kind of sitting there reading a book in the dim fading light.
Or, it looks like he's reading a book anyway. The book's open a little less than halfway, and his eyes are on the page.
But they're not really moving. He almost looks like he's asleep with his eyes open, except that he occasionally blinks.
Someone's distracted.

He does glare at Demyx a little, though.
"Jeez, warn a guy, would you?" he says, thinking his heart's about to burst out of his chest.
He pauses for a second.
"It's not bad."

"Is it what? NO!"
He's torn between dying and laughing, and the laughing wins out.
"It's not about sex!"

He's trying hard not to blink.
"No. There's no sex. Just pirates."
Although sometimes Roxas wishes there was sex. Just not with the pirates. Because he's fairly sure they haven't washed in about forever.

He clears his throat.
"Yeah, I suppose. Only, there aren't any girl pirates."

"Does she go here?"
He'll ignore the rest for the minute. One thing at a time.

"You alright there?" she asked carefully, as she sat down.

"What? Huh? Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you."
He closes the book without marking the page, leaving it dangling out of his hand.
"I was pretty out of it, huh?"

The fire was pretty. Warm.
"I'm just trying to pass the time until I'm tired, you know?"

He puts the book down, and holds his hand out. "You're Mac, right? You're in the 'Goth Eye' workshop with me."

He smiles, a little, and shakes her hand.
"Roxas."

"New here, I guess?"
no subject
He nods.
"Yeah, started last week. I wasn't expecting to like it, but I've been pleasantly surprised. You been here long?"
