Kraken Campfire, Later Tuesday Night

Aly was on her short list of Favorite Teachers Ever.

She hoped the Kraken bathroom had recovered from any possible dye-related mishaps.

Rikku sat in front of the campfire, bouncing to herself. Ready to chat the ear off anybody and everybody who dropped by.

"It was for Dealing with Stupid People. I got a couple that kept telling me to pick up the phone, and another who asked about Siegfried and Roy's personal lives," Hermione says. "Is the color permanent? Or does it just... change back."

Yeah, because Hermione spends a lot of time on her hair.

"I forgot to check the box! I think it washes out but I have no idea when. Maybe it'll fade or something. It's gonna be like a surprise!" Yes. That amused her.

"Whoa, Siegfried and Roy? ... They're real people!? I just thought Gavin and Luke were crazy!"

"...Wait, what? Luke? I had someone call and ask whether they bounced quarters... um." There might be blushing.

Rikku stared. "Whoa. That, uh. That's my fault. Uh. See, on Saturday? There was ..."

Rikku stopped herself. And stared more at a spot somewhere to the left of Hermione. "Listen. This is worse than the cozies. You probably don't wanna know. Really."

Hermione's eyes go really wide, and she nods. "Okay," she says, willing to accept that than deal with the brain break. She'd like to sleep tonight.

"Okay, cool." Rikku nodded. Very glad she could spare her roommate the zomgtrauma. "It was just, uh, a gremlin bite thing, I guess. I didn't know we had gremlins. And then yesterday was a Canadian Victorian day or something and I thought Jude got bit, too, 'cause he was acting weird." She shook her head.

"The gremlins were probably only defending themselves," she says. "What did Jude do?"

"I've never seen one. Are they, like, monsters? Fiends?" Rikku shrugged. "Oh, and Jude ... had a Canada flag thing on as a cape and was singing some really happy song that involved making these noises that kinda sounded like someone was crowing? So, uh. I kinda went for 'okay, something got you, too, maybe you need to come inside.'"
