Kraken Campfire, Later Tuesday Night

Rikku hoped it wasn't too dark that people wouldn't be able to see that she now had purple hair.

Aly was on her short list of Favorite Teachers Ever.

She hoped the Kraken bathroom had recovered from any possible dye-related mishaps.

Rikku sat in front of the campfire, bouncing to herself. Ready to chat the ear off anybody and everybody who dropped by.

"Hey fellow crackhead," Mel said as she strolled in from patrol. "Nice hair."

It's a little hard to study for her workshops, so Hermione heads down to Kraken. Because she's bored and her roommate's there.

"Hi what hapened to your hair?"

"It's purple," Mel said. "Hey Hermione. Why aren't you chained to your desk?"

"Hi! Thanks!" Rikku bounced a little. "I hope we didn't, uh, turn the bathroom purple. I tried to get most of it out. Ugh, dye gets everywhere."

She looked at Mel's hair for a second before saying, "But, uh, you knew that, right? Or is that your ..." She stopped. "Whoa, is that a rude question?"

"I dyed it!" Rikku bounced as if she was announcing that she had won the lottery. "It's purple now, I almost went with green but Jude said it would clash, do you like it? How are you? How are your workshops? Because mine are so great!"

"Something happened to your head, Rikku," Aravis noted helpfully, her eyes wide as she took a seat at the campfire. She was still having trouble sleeping, and figured a walk might help.

Donatello took a seat at what seemed like an open campfire, feeilng like he needed some socialization, and grinned at Rikku. "Nice hair," he said. "I like the color."

"Hi, Aravis!" Not going to bow, but a wave was good, right? "I dyed it! I don't know how long it's gonna last, I forgot to read the box. I hope it's a while. What do you think!?"

"Eh. If the bathroom's purple I don't mind," Mel said with a shrug. "And yeah the hair is a dye job. Sometime it's a pain in the ass to maintain but it seems to work well."

Not having workshops on Wednesdays means Bridge could stay up late on Tuesday nights without having to worry about being up early the next morning. Which is why after hanging out with people at Chupacabra for a while, he finds himself by the Kraken campfire.

"Heya, Rikku," he says. "I like the hair."

"I can't study for my workshops and don't know what books I need for sixth year yet," she says matter-of-factly.

"Let me guess," Bridge says upon seeing Donatello. "You're one of Mikey's brothers."

"Thank you!" Rikku grinned. "It's usually blonde but I got some dye from Aly. And whoa, you must be one of Mikey's brothers, right? He totally came on our mutiny!"

Mel gave the new girl a jaunty wave. "'Sup?"

"Bridge! Hi! Thanks! I just did it, like, five minutes ago!" Rikku was bouncing. A lot. "How are your workshops? Mine are awesome."

"Amazing guess," Donnie said, grinning. "I'm Donatello."

"They're good, I got hung up on twice yesterday," she says. "Why did you dye it?"

"Hey Bridge," Mel said with a wave. "How's it going?"

"Oh, good. I was worried people would be ticked." She grinned and looked at Mel's hair again. "That's, like, seriously impressive, the two-color thing going. I wasn't brave enough to try anything like that yet. What color is yours normally?"

"You did that on purpose?" Aravis struggled for diplomacy. "What a vibrant color."
